... honored walker: yes, he is biased, but not for the reasons you seem to be assuming. Even ignoring the other streams of our multiverse, within our own turning the destruction of death itself has caused no end of trouble, both for those-who-were-once-mortal and my siblings and I. And the Destroyer more than all of us did not wish to see Mortilus fall.

As for the bias: yes, Unicron did not wish Mortilus's death, but because they were emotionally close, not because Unicron wished our species, our universe, to end all the sooner. I can't find fault with him being a little piqued at the implication that he wished final destruction on his romantic partner.

I may be biased, but all things must die. To live and change, death needs to exist. That which cannot die cannot change and grow and evolve. Breaking the circle is what Baltreshk does, but Bal's deal is just as much necrourgy.

Why do you wish to defeat death- and from your words I presume the concept is not governed by someone in your universe, or you would be a liar- so badly then? And why do you presume immortality is required for it? Death is not the end until the spark is content and ready to move on after all.

 

I became immortal by dying!
Or will, at least, somewhen in the future. Paradox-space me just hit level 5 and hasn't even left the Land of Steps and Storms yet!

So I'm only 240 and that's not old at all but there's people who are tons older like 7 million years like Burlesque, and a lot of those people died in the big Cybertronian war anyway and there's still people around that're that old, but then I heard humans only live about 80 years which is really young, and Burlesque has seen organic sapient species happen and unhappen just in the course of his lifespan, and I wanted to know why is it all so different? And what's it like being old?

Mythology is lost on you, but you will forever stay in your apartment and never become a leader if not for it. Desire and greed, and accomplishing it.

They were not attempting to gain eternal life; this was an unintended byproduct of an untimely true-death. But... yes, the point stands that this immortality is unnatural. And to me and mine, it is undesirable. With the forging of our newest siblings, the universe begins to heal, but... Death himself should never have left in the first place.

...a question, doctor: does your species only have one stretch of time with which to live? We can only truly end once our deepest hopes and wishes are fulfilled, and a strong sparkbond can ensure souls find each other no matter their frame if one or the other or both experiences a minor death, but... if this is not possible, I think I can understand why someone might wish to break free of the cycle.
