...You're an engineer, right? You ever not have the right parts to fix something for real, so you gotta figure out a way to keep the whole system running for a bit even if it's not a long-term repair? Coping mechanisms are kinda like that for brain stuff instead of machines, finding ways to work around processor glitches that might not fix the base problem but make it easier to keep living in the meantime.

Yeah it does fit a lot better thematically. When I made the decision I was... not in a good place, so I wanted to send the biggest "frag you" to Megatron I could think of. Making one of the key phrases of the writings he wanted to take away from us literally an ireversible part of my frame seemed like the right order of magnitude. But then I suppose my frame already belongs to the Cause irreversibly what with the K-Class thing.
