Yes inlay is complicated [He gestures at one wings, the pattern of which extends just as far as his own arms would go so there's some spaces quite bare] and I don't even want to know what the back of my wings look like in places [he shakes his head]. Even if you don't match, contrast can be quite interesting, in my opinion. Depending on the color it can be even prettier than strictly matched ones.

Honestly that's the only smart choice about it. [Well, that or actively fight against it, really, though Updraft is not particularly fighty these days]
