And I assume my self-repair just got used to it over time, too. The details are a bit... fiddly but I could explain it to you, if you like?

Oh! Haha, no, um. That's a bit of an injoke, uh, y'see... They stole themselves at the same time and just took me along. I'm happy with them, I was just freaking out a little at the time, I don't deal well with battlefields.
I guess the breeding thing would make it too complicated to be an easy fix for resource scarcity, scavenging is much less complicated in the long run. Oh well, I'd still love to learn about your research! My own was lost, things got messy for a bit, but I can probably reconstruct most of it if we ever get comfortable enough we can afford a lab!
