Only the weird ones try to follow someone beyond the boundaries of their universe! [Vector sounds inordinately proud.] And only the excellent ones managed. Lovely folk, truly lovely, but a bit... ah... well, 'mad scientist' is a common enough trope, I'm sure you're familiar with the idea.

Having never actually played I'm not quite sure how our lands would've worked out. Can't actually recall if we even had a Knight... I mean, I assume so, there's only so many classes and they don't tend to repeat, but who...? [Whoops, you lost grandpa a little bit, he's too busy thinking. Conversation, what conversation?]

Ford winces. "Good siblings," he sort of repeats, with a sigh. "My brother and I...well. We were good siblings at first, and then we were really bad siblings, and...now it's okay." Mostly.

How much of that is because at some point they realised they were more or less even after the rotten things they'd done to each other, and how much of that is because they finally saw how alike they were and how they went through the same kinds of hell in different worlds, and how much of that is because Valiska and Getheny won't tolerate it...he doesn't actually know. He's just relieved the worst of it is over and they can work together again.

"Good and then really bad, followed by nearly okay" sums things up fairly well, yes! [Complete with accidental damage to the fabric of the multiverse, even, but Vector's not quite thoughtless enough to say that.] There is a reason you won't catch most of the Thirteen in one place anymore, and it has nothing to do with half of us being temporarily dead.

Well, that's not quite right. They have the same root cause, the killings and the splitting up, but one didn't start the other.

See, at least when I still had a court this kind of stuff did not happen. My minions know to value loyalty and following orders and keeping the infighting to a minimum.

Ford grins wryly. "At least my parents only had four children, and my twin and I caused most of the problems."

[Dryly:] Ah, yes, Primus was definitely still around to hold court by that point. He left shortly after we imprisoned you, and then we fell apart all on our own.

[Vector laughs.] Well, it would cut down on collateral damage if there were only four of us, that's for sure! I think Primus was a bit burnt out on having four sibling-children when he made us, though.

Ford rolls his eyes. "It's my understanding that Esther ran off, joined Chabad, changed her name, had them find her a husband, and has lived a perfectly quiet life ever since. Neither you nor I can say that. Anyhow, she did pretty well, considering she had to put up with both of our parents completely alone in that house, because they threw you out and I wouldn't have gone back if they'd offered to pay me to, and after Dad saw me with Fiddleford, they weren't going to let her come visit me, either."

"My middle name should be collateral. And his should be damage." Stan shrugs. "Better than Filbrick, which is both of our middle names."
