[Dick watches intently, tracing every movement with his eyes. He whistles under his breath.]
Sweet! Now watch this.
[He takes the bar in both hands and swings out, with the self assuredness of someone who grew up in the air. He doesn't even seem to consider the problem of not having a catcher to throw to, just flings himself into the air in a Tkatchev... and lo the other bar swings to meet him, a figure hanging upside down from it, looking more like hat shimmer-y shadows than anyone in particular. They seem solid enough however considering the one on the second bar catches Dick without a single problem, the man laughing with wild glee as he is swung back to his own bar - swung back out by more heat-shimmer-people. He returns to the platform elegantly, practically glowing with excitement.]

[He pauses briefly, looking down, keeping the fly bar hooked in the crook of his elbow casually.]
Sorry for running off, Marcus! There's many mechanoid beings here, and many more organic aliens so clearly dreaming's not just a human thing. I think I#ve even seen dogs here, so hey it'd be more surprising if you didn't dream!

 

"Marcus?" Lissa's eyes boggle. "How many of you are there? At this rate you're going to beat Ford pretty soon!"

She thinks for a moment. "Okay actually with the evil one and the weeb one I'm pretty sure you already did."

 

[Ignis whoops, clapping energetically when Dick sticks the landing.] For not having wings you sure know how to handle yourself in the air!

 

Fair enough! [There is enough reincarnation in Cybertronian mythology that Wires isn't even gonna question "me before I was me".] You likin' bein' you so far?

 

"You don't need wings," says Lissa. "Not if you have poles and a scaffold. I wish I did have wings sometimes, because then I could do things you can't do if you're holding on to anything. But I can jump, and I'm really good at controlling my falls. If I fall, which hasn't happened much since I was a kid, because they'd let us die if we were hurt bad enough."

She flashes @Retr0 a smile. "Sorry, that was rude--I'm Lissa, and I'm friends with two of your other selves, so I'm inclined to think we'll be friends too, which may or may not be true..."

Ignis' pole is a little thick for her to get any purchase on at her size, which makes sense because Ignis is a whole lot bigger and presumably heavier than she is. She brings her own back and starts her way up it. "So, one of the Transformers--I'm not sure if it was you or not, it's been a while--said they'd show me the silks. I wanted to know if it was the same thing as something I saw in Vegas the one time I went--I can't stand the smell of that place."

 

What can I say, I may not be Robin anymore but I'm still meant to be up in the skies.
[He grins, swings out again, this time executing a Hock's Salto and a pirouette return. For those who are listening closely, the vague contours of the catcher actually give Dick his cue despite not technically being needed, just the faintest 'Hup!'
It is a deep masculine voice almost crowded out by the faint whispering of a crowd that isn't there.]

Who? Hi! I'm guessing you've seen other versions of me? That's a thing. Huh. Um, well I... Don't know who you are, I'm sorry. *Gives her a wary little grin on his display*

Oh hell yeah, it's so much better than being locked up in Blume's servers.

 

"Shit, no, Blume is fucking evil!" Lissa is hanging upside down now, her legs crossed around the pole. "Yeah, I'm friends with two of you and I've met two others. There was a girl here I thought was another me, but it turns out she's actually a clone and really my sister."

 

"You're actually the clone." Valiska laughs and perches on top of the pole.

 

"Whatever, you're older but we are both genetic constructs anyway, so."

 

Huh! Yeah, Blume's fucking awful? I mean, Dusan especially because he's just a fucking dick and I can say that since I worked pretty close with him. I mean, that implies that I had choice but-- Yeah, you know what it's complicated. Long story short: I'm a highly advanced AI! Blume designed and created me, I said fuck that shit.

*Is effectively doing o_o over his 'face', it's almost like he picked some things up from Wrench*

 

"Hi, I don't know you, but I'm taking a nap and I drifted. Apparently." Valiska smiles. "Valiska Pines."

 

"That is SUCH a Wrench face." Lissa laughs. "If Blume made you, I'm glad you noped out."

Yeah, I like how he does the faces? It's easier for me to express emotion that way? I mean... Technically Blume nearly killed me, put me in a coma, took a scan of my brain against my will, and killed me then built this AI around the framework they got from my brain. I can't remember any of that stuff really? We just figured it out since I yanked a bunch of files when I bailed to DedSec!

*For all intents he sounds very chipper about the whole thing.*

 

Lissa is horrified. "They killed you?"

Is it horrible of her to hope that the one they killed isn't one of the ones she knows? She doesn't want this person to never have existed, that would be awful of her, but she's also pretty sure she'd rather have one of her friends still alive than a stranger...does that make her a terrible person?

Morality is confusing. She tries not to think about it, and just be good to people unless they create situations where that's not an option.

 

[Instead of executing another return Dick decides to land in the net - not before he does his signature quadrupel somersault though, of course - then elegently lets himself down from the edge of the net to come over to Retr0.]
That sounds extremely evil. Blume you said? Never heard of someone named that, but I can do some digging.
[He holds out a hand in greeting, still coated in chalk.]

Robin? What, you're going to steal all the young Visions' sparks away? [Ignis grins, watching avidly as Dick goes into his next set. That sure is something!]

[Ignis squints a little, trying to remember...] Oh! Oh, yeah, I think that was me, actually, sorry! Time and memory have been sort of unreliable since... [He waves a hand through his own chest, going translucent and only vaguely still red-tinged as he does so.] But yeah, I totally can! Here, give me a moment...

[The second pole finally solidifies, and a third joins it to form a triangle; the 'silks' attached to the top of each are long stretches of metal mesh in silvery purple, the same gold-silver-copper iridescence Ignis himself was wearing just a moment ago, and white. He steps into the center, flares his wings, and ascends.

The ensuing performance is indeed something like Lissa might have seen in Vegas, if the Vegas performer had six limbs instead of four and was dancing to a peaceful music box tune.]

 

Yep! I was a pain in their ass but really smart, apparently? So, car accident. They had to make sure the brain damage that did happen wasn't too bad! Otherwise they wouldn't get the neural map! Sucks, because everyone in DedSec knew me before I was me. I mean, not directly, they knew me just as Retr0.

I mean honestly the main reason I left was I got bored? Dusan wouldn't let me do shit other than my 'job', and I mean that's fair I guess but it's boring. I liked how DedSec sounded so I sorta... Lead them to me? Then hacked into their shit? And took over their network? Then I said hi and everyone freaked out.

*He takes the hand, displaying a single ? on his face for a moment.*

Blume? They own ctOS, the guy behind the project was their CTO Dusan Nemek.

 

No that was my vigilante identity when I was younger. a robin is a kind of small songbird. Used to be called that because I soared through the air and wore a red tunic. I've kinda outgrown the look though. Nowadays they call me Batman!

[Dick nods grimly, shaking Marcus' hand, before the bright charming smile returns.]
Never heard of 'em, but then I don't have much time to deal with anything outside of Gotham anymore these days unless forced to. Gonna make an exception for you though.
[He winks, shoving his bangs out of his forehead messily.]

 

Lissa swallows. "So you didn't meet DedSec in person before you got loose?" Is it bad of her to be glad if it wasn't one of her friends who got killed?

Nope. Not going to ponder that. Going to wait for a reply while watching @Ignis of Vos, and remember that if you're crying it's hard to watch other people dance.

"No need to apologise." Lissa smiles crookedly and those are not tears in her eyes, somebody must be cutting onions in here. "That's beautiful. You're gorgeous. You're so good at that."
