[OH. Well then!] That was lovely. [He ventures, kinda carefully but with a little more confidence now, since so far everything seemed to be going well, wings fluttering trying to express a lot of emotions that he's not so good at wording out, or doesn't want to lest he look pushy]

 

"How about actual silk?" Lissa suggests, and summons long silk streamers in purple and pink. "It's actually quite strong."

Oh goodness, what do.

Chase Batman? Wait for Ignis to give her a lesson? But Batman wanted one too...

"Be right back Ignis, gotta catch my classmate!" she says, and leaps into the scaffolding. She is a catte. She has catte feet for leaping and hands with opposable thumbs and claws, and she was trained to catch (and kill) people in the air... but he's very, very good at what he does also.

 

Of course we were. [Ignis grins as he bows, careful not to put any more flourish in the motion than Starscream did. His own wings are high and happy, with maybe just a bit of pride to their cant. Just a little. Y'know. Like any performer, and not at all a vain jet getting his ego stroked by a big handsome shuttle.]

 

[Or a big handsome transport plane?] Well yes, I'd never dispute that at all, but I don't think I've ever seen you dance. I've only ever heard of Vosian dances, not seen them myself. [Though he's well aware that Ignis is flexible but again, never seen him dance, and especially not with Starscream. Who's well, Starscream, and Updraft is still kind of internally swooning over that. It's a shame it happened here because it's sure one for the memory banks]

 

[What follows is a ridiculous chase through the scaffolding, both of them showing off their skills at parcour, poledance, and other assorted aerialist arts to their fullest. Both of them being raised for this kind of thing makes it a close competition of course, And there were a few close calls and very narrow evasions among the stunts he had to pull to get away from her, leaping through the air and laughing wildly. They are well matched in speed and precision and despite some different approaches to navigating the structure, neither seems to really gain the upper hand. Not while playing fair at least, and Dick is not above cheating, eventually simply ziplining out of the scaffolding to hang far above the ground and a good bit away from the farthest outreaching edge of their playpark. It's too far away for a human to jump the distance so he's feeling safe with being a bit smug, sticking out his tongue at Lissa as he hangs there, laughing. There's just the slightest bit of nervousness to the laugh but no one would notice that and his breath going fast is simply from the exertion surely. Even he can't soar through the air forever after all.]

 

Lissa grins. That is, in fact, too far for a human to jump.

Because humans aren't semi-digitigrade and meant for jumping that high. She's going to catch him!

 

[His eyes go wide and he yells a half-aborted curseword- and lets go of the line without any second thought. He may be panicking a tiny bit- The floor is approaching fast-
And then he is gone ina poof, reappearing on the floor, panting heavily and crouched in a combat ready position.]

 

Lissa swears also, because she has to put herself into it harder than she expected to grab the zipline instead of his feet, but at least she doesn't fall. Now she's the one hanging off a zipline.

But Batman looks...different.

"Hey," she says, gently, and doesn't jump down. "We're just playing, remember? I'm not going to hurt you. I don't want to hurt you. I just want to have fun."

She considers mentioning that she can't possibly harm him here, not least because she doesn't actually want to, but ... that seems to make these guys more paranoid, not less.

 

[There is a moment where Dick has to consciously and deliberately slow his own breathing down. He doesn't straighten up to stand again but he does relax gradually.]
Just some overactive reflexes! Kinda a job hazard. You know how it is.
[His smile looks a bit weak, but not smiling would be admitting how hard he just let his easy going persona slip just now and that just won't do.]

 

-smirks. Ignis is cute when he´s preening-

Thas a shame. I don´t know who is even still alive that knows them anymore.

 

"I do," Lissa says gently, and telegraphs clearly what she's about to do before dropping to the floor. "It was fun till I tripped your trigger though. Was it fun for you, before?"

 

I am afraid I am the wrong person to talk to for that, but it really is a shame. [He tilts his head, considering if he should be so free to say something....] Perhaps you could - if you wanted to - teach people? [It be a shame to let an art like that die if there's people around who still remember how it's done properly. Though admittedly Com- Starscream is probably busy with other things that don't involve dance figures]

 

[Trigger, what trigger, he is perfectly fine! And if he backs up a step well he has to while standing up or he'll overbalance, clearly. Hah.]
I find fun in most things I do or I wouldn't be doing them.

 

"That's my philosophy as well," Lissa replies. "Feel like learning the silks with Ignis, once he and Updraft and Starscream get done talking? What I actually intended was to let you know that if yuo needed a partner for any part of that lesson, I would be willing to do it. I know you don't know me very well. I won't say I'm not dangerous, but I'm really not dangerous to anyone currently here, because there's nobody here I'd wish harm upon." She bites her lip. "That I know of, anyway. There's one of the Marcuses, he calls himself Mister Holloway and wears a suit, and I'd shank him as soon as I'd look at him, but that's kinda personal, and at any rate, I'm hardly first in line for it."

 

-smiles- To be honest i would love to but hardly have the time. Nor patience.

You should try earth silk, yes -starscream throws in- It would tear on our plates but it should work fine for you. Just don´t claw it if you fall.

 

Ah, that is a shame but I can see how that would be an issue. [Wait, ok it's a silly idea buuuut...] Video tutorials? [He does chance a tiny little smile, wings quivering at the tips a little to suggest that he's joking, no harm meant]

 

Yeah, well, that's what happens when the afts in charge swing into a Separatist run of policy. [Ignis scowls for a moment.] It's a damn shame, it really is. There are recordings of some performances put on in the other high cities-- Iacon, Ambustis Major, Tetrahex, that sort of classy-- from millennia ago, but right up until the switch to... ah, what was his name, I don't even remember, stupid Well brain-fog... anyway, the Winglord before Lord Starscream, Vos got stupidly isolationist. [Ignis isn't pouting, you're pouting.]

[Ignis looks honestly heartbroken for a second, but manages to cover the expression quickly. Nope nope nope put on the soldier face, no looking like you want to cry in front of a superior officer.]

I... wanted to. Before. Did, a little, on the few occasions I got out of Vos-- that's how I learned grounder-style dancing, we'd trade moves. But it... it wouldn't have been allowed in Vos. For me to, anyway, I'm pretty sure the Winglord can do whatever he wants? Even if teaching would probably be below his station as an Order. His Vision might...? [Uncertain glance in Starscream's general direction. Who even is the Vision out of that trine? It'd be horribly rude to ask, especially if one or both of them died after Ignis himself, but the Winglord's gotta be an Order, that's how it works.]

I don´t think it matters anymore, not with most of us scattered after the war. -nope, he ain´t telling-There must be someone besides me out there who still knows how it´s done.

 

[Oh no, sad birb. He'd hug Ignis buuut no hugging in front of superior officers, so one of his wings just comes down somewhere close-ish, a subtle offer of 'close' without actually having physical contact and hopefully with the movement looking as if he's just disappointed that things have gone as they have]

Potentially, I admit I never had a political office. I think someone on the TEAM might? There has been talk. [Should ge mention Refractor by name? But surely the mech who'd actually send th emission out knows the rooster so Reffy is not exactly a secret... then again, they keep acquiring people like him so potentially not? Anyways he only heard that Reffy had been practicing with Lacuna and Burlesque, he's not actually SURE that any Vosian dancing is actually involved, he's never seen it]
