Life Support will stop being pedantic at Norm now because I don't feel like going into the definition of "child" as a developmental stage vs underage person vs someone's offspring.

i thought it was maybe because of @crocellsApostate2? hes the only cronus that was interacting that was actually a child

Scanner is not really upset, but he sees Norm picking on the Cronii and it parses as "person with social capital picks on everyone of a certain frametype without letting them stand as individuals" and it makes him want to gently set Norm on fire :P

and that's pretty much the reverse of what norm sees. norm parses what the cronii do as them being constant spouters of bullshit and himself as challenging that bullshit. and he wouldn't think of himself immediately as a person with social capital.

 

and to be fair the only non-sprite cronuses who come even remotely close to Not being total pieces of shit are @Coxswain Gwawdwyr and @(Cronus) and i havent even figured out how to get (cronus) to work so he doesnt count

 

The thing that pings Scanner is that there is immediate aggression. The fact that Cronii tend to prove themselves to be assholes anyway within a maximum of ten posts is of no consequence for the fact that Norm sees Ampora horns and immediately starts mocking and belittling them :P

 

scanner and orlandeau are a similar variety of asshole, come to think of it

 

norm, on his side of it, have lost the patience necessary to give the cronii a chance, especially since his expectations have proven to be correct 9/10 and he's been pushed around by assholes before

 

ehhhhh not really, Orlandeau has a certain amount of goal with his asshattery with his "I'm bullying bullies" thing, Scanner just antagonizes literally everyone, including his wife when he gets bored.

 

and norm, hearing "i don't care about your fee fees," thinks that's 'cause he's a genie, not 'cause he's an asshole with lots of social capital

 

orlandeau does enjoy antagonizing people too, actually. he's done so a couple times in the rave before, particularly with @Tamika Arias , who he has attempted to goad on more than one occassion
