although it's unclear at this point what leda called her and what she made up herself and so on, mostly because she wouldn't have picked something with that obvious symbolic meaning but there's no way she would have kept the same name but i needed a name for baby reed and kept it "redux"... (waves hands)

 

misto giving out another name is a Big Deal to him if that wasn't clear heh, and he's doing it as a sign of appreciation and respect, but not necessarily out of trust

 

Ok so the god with a thousand names is kiiiiind of important to the Spirit-Touched. Because that's what she's doing. There are other name-sunderings in the history of her world, just not on the level of the Darkness's and it's hard for anyone who's not a god to do. Usually you need a whole bunch of people to do it. But she's been planning on pissing the world off since she could walk so.

I call her Laverna because she's one of my many Lavs, but canonically that's her Most Secret name, the one only she and her parents know.

I'm amused that Alex Metzger is getting along with Gwendolyn and the other late teens/early twenties Reversis and has not yet found out that Jezebel can eat a lot more plant foods than her mother but really shouldn't go veg.

I've read the book and seen the show, at least? But yeah. Al'rhissim is @winterykite and Nilima is @Lazarae, but they, and Lissa and Valiska (alternate universes, same base person, very different histories) are all felines. And Jezebel is half-feline, she's Lissa's daughter.

@cassikat Al'rrhissim (@Al'rrhissim Belassen) is mostly unmagical save for some combat stuff and psionics. The rest of her family on the other hand...

From my other characters, Jhenya (@Jhenya Sage) is magic (although they will deny it), and I'm fairly proud of how that magic system works. Ilma (@bourasqueIndwell) is a weird sort of magic. Deirdre (@Deirdre of the Lantern) is technically not magic but is divinely powered. Aurora (@Aurora Borealis) is psionic af.
The rest are garden variety unmagical people.
