Their coffee order is also a more developed version of Static's. Pretty much Static's if they could regularly get coffee :P

 

So Cassie (Pre-Mortem) is kind of a Project Zomboid (with Hydrocraft mod) character mixed with an abandoned character idea.

The infection in PZ is weird, not just because of game logic making things follow certain rules, but in-universe as well that we can see from the TV/Radio. I have a cheat mod that gives me skills, an endless bag, and gives me a badass super axe that's a melee weapon (thus silent) but injures zombies all the way to the edge of the screen. I play with a bazillion mods and use it + a spawn mod to make sure everything's working properly- new items get added to containers including zombies, recipes work, that stuff.

Because I'm a nerd I liked to play with it would work without 100% breaking the existing lore. (What little of it there is.)

Cassie's based on several of my non-cheat saves because I die a lot, but I gave her the cheat weapon because I liked playing with the worldbuilding. And then I appended it to the worldbuilding for the abandoned character because the lore was compatible.

 

She's also more modern because I was a literal baby in 1993, when the game canonically starts.

 

I like how Marcus is a weird tall probably-adult alien but the 25-foot-tall mecha doesn't even get blinked at :P trolls, what even

 

Listen Ghazal is just assuming some blueblood did a weird thing again, but 25 foot tall alien mecha may as well be four sweeps old, or equivalent.
Basically Venture is sufficiently removed from his frame of reference that he can just roll with it.
Marcus and Dave are just close enough to troll shape that the adult thing computes and can alarm him.
