Yeah, I think he thinks that they think he's an idiot but they don't. Was there bleedover from the conversation here where you thought I was saying that they were confused about the stream of bad advice? Because just because you think someone's getting bad advice doesn't mean you think they're dumb enough to take it *hugs*

 

...also they were not wrong, the conversation, which I did read, WAS mostly jack talking about how life, feelings and love suck big ding-dongs. plus how fun violence is. There were other things as well, but for the two of them, the fact that it was about those topics, is why they won't listen to it.

primarily he was thinking about his friends from TPS, who betray him after previously helping him try and get/open a Vault - but he was also thinking about his dead wife and (unknowingly dead) daughter.

there's probably some bleed over with his relationship with Rhys as he's almost positive he'll get betrayed by him at some point and since he's actually gotten attached to him it's even more expected since everyone jack's known has betrayed him in some way

Amalgamous is roughly 80% contrariness at any given moment, telling them not to do a thing is just as like to make them do it RIGHT THEN even if they were joking originally :P

Isn't he like the reason his daughter's dead though? I don't think I have any characters who'd be uncool with him offing grandma if they knew that story but I don't think even future!Jim Profit, whom I run, would be cool with the business about the feeling of crushing skulls under your feet, given that Jim actively avoids killing people other than his abusive father when he can. :)

Yeah he was, and it's a shit situation and obvs not cool, but his motives were... interesting, to say the least. But the Jack i'm playing is from the most recent game, Tales from the borderlands, where Jack has been dead for a while and Rhys accidentally plugs a Jack AI into his brain and gets stuck with pre-death Jack. So he doesn't know his daughter is dead, nor does he know the exact situation surrounding how he died!

 

Sprocket will gently groom both Thunders and Hivebite if they come close. He´s a cuddlebug.

I can just see him and Tross causing disaster just because someone told them not to do a thing, so now they gotta.

HAHAHA okay!!! Yeah. It's just...I'm not a goody-two-shoes RPer to the point where I don't have any characters who are frequently considered Bad People (though I will argue a lot about Jim Profit because I think he's actually trying) but Jack is further across the moral event horizon than any characters of mine except the villains in the games I run will go! :) And I don't think he'd appreciate Bill Cipher. Morrheinna, on the other hand, would make him even worse and depress the fuck out of everyone else.

 

yeah jack is a Moral Pit of Hell haha. i tend to play nicer characters but recently ive been branching out and playing more morally ambiguous ones (rick and jack, for instance)
