Also since speech pattern were spoken of, Sawbones accent is vaguely inspired by real world accents, but not meant to represent any accurately.

Ford's inured to people ignoring him or thinking he's a crackpot. He is unlikely to take the bait unless Mala actually hurts him, which I selfishly hope doesn't happen because hurt Ford can be really mean. It takes a lot of hitting very specific triggers to do it, though Scanner once managed to do it hard enough to hit an old trigger of mine that I thought had died, but generally only Stan can make him really mad. (Stan's good at it, but they have been trying this new thing where they back off each other's asshole switches once in a while.)
