Also just for reference, Libby is a sadist who is some flavor of ace. So what he´s been getting at is it´s fine to get off on people crysing for whatever reason as long as those people are consenting.

yep. i get that, and church gets that. he's just embarrassed and weirded out by how exactly it happened. like, sparking = crying was, for him, essentially the equivalent of clicking a fic on ao3 that left out a kink tag and then realizing it contained that kink later. (he wouldn't use that comparison necessarily, but that's what i'd describe it as being like for him.)

Libby was a slave before the war, and has subzero levels of patience for people who think they can fix injustice by eating or not eating something. He
will find vegans incredibly annoying and is pretty abrasive about that.
