Nope. She looks like a lady with weird amber eyes, rose-red hair, beat-up old clothes, and usually a really obnoxious grin.

ETA: Well, to normal eyeballs. To most magical/psychic/supernatural senses she kind of looks like a black hole. I'm sure Ford could tell SOMETHING was up even if she wasn't being chatty about, but her physical appearance isn't Lovecraftian. Just "slightly creepy lady with weird eyes and fabulous hair."

 

Okay! He definitely has always known something was up (and shit, she told us too) but that's good to know. I tend to assume characters look like their avatars and have often frankly been surprised when IRL people turned out not to look like their avatars even though there is no reason they should, just because my brain associates that image with that person.

sorry i didn't respond to ford's post, i just have genuinely no clue how to interpret the etymology of words from Dragon Age in a way my characters can talk about, bc it's just .. english. but the world's history is totally different, so ??? handwaving.

 

That's okay. He just wouldn't have said that if "golem" weren't actually a word with a very specific meaning in Hebrew that he hasn't encountered elsewhere in the multiverse divorced from that actual meaning (because people in other universes use their own words in their own language). There's a mezuzah on the front door of the house Ford grew up in and he may be more of a sceptic as an adult but I can't think he was less of a geek in Hebrew school than he is everywhere else, and there's a shit-ton of Kabbalah going on in some of the stuff he does in WT.

I died laughing when she hit on Valiska. Rave Mom! Valiska however was not amused and will never mom her again. They were already past that when Valiska hit her, Valiska does not hit children...but Itch is too big to be a kit and completely antisocial.
