Greshan never got very old, no. But he was certainly very creepy.

 

Also just so you know he's from Kencyrath. Specifically he's one of the twins' uncles.

 

Sala won't be able to see it unless it's actually producing an image made of light which is visible to everyone.

It's a thing you'd see in your head if you touched. Again his soul is stitched into the fabric of the thing. Which means that contact with the coat allows you contact with the soul and its memories. It's also part of why he'll eventually try to get people to wear him. It's a lot easier to overwhelm people mentally when your souls are being forced into close quarters like that.

 

I figured it was something like that, which is why it doesn't work on Sala. She's somewhere between a psychic black hole and a fountain of psychic antimatter. Mental effects hit her and are just. Gone.
