I think some of the disheveled look that it sounds like your mom is objecting to might just be that your hair tangles easily, too!

Mine likes to tangle easily too, and I've found that conditioner and working the tangles out when I wake up helps a lot (and I also have a lot less hair to tangle than you now.), You have already discovered the magic of conditioner, and the more regularly you use it, you will probably notice your hair getting shinier and easier to work with. Using brush or fingers or comb to gently work the tangles out will help it look healthier, too. You might already know this, but if not: start working tangles out from the ends of the hair and moving up towards your scalp, or it's possible to clump the tangles together into a mass that locks together and has to be cut out, and it sounds like you're trying to avoid having to have it cut shorter. Trimming the ends every so often if they start getting broken and jagged can help, too, but you don't have to cut it all off by any means.

So I'm looking at this again and you look SO MUCH like my best friend, as Dipper anyway (they also cosplay Dipper). I think it's the fact that your glasses are very similar to theirs, and the fact that they look like, half their age (they're 25 but they really don't look much older than you, at least not in costume). It's really trippy and kinda funny.

(A++ Dipper either way, fwiw.)

 

sooooo I shaved my head for charity (funding childhood cancer research... I raised like $400 bucks!). it's been a week since then, and since my hair grows really fast I'm now... rockin'... the Charlize Theron/Jesse look.

not a fashion choice I'd make of my own devices, but I'd say it's definitely less terrible than it was a week ago! :D

Had court today, so here's a dress up pic. My hair is being exceptionally tall and my face is much furrier in pictures than it is in the mirror. I should probably do something about that.
