TT: Unfortunately, treating Dirk poorly is not a thing that stops him from liking people.

TT: I think it started off as a feeling of responsibility for you all, but he thinks you're really cool and badass, and admires you I'm pretty sure. You'd have to ask him for the details.

TT: There's nothing that immediately comes to mind, but he could always do with people bugging him to poke his toe out of the apartment for a social call. Come to think of it, I'm not sure I can remember the last time that happened, although that doesn't mean there haven't been any invites that he's turned down because he's convinced himself they're extended through politeness or something.

TT: I swear he's determined to be more of a recluse than I am.

He'd been distracted from thinking about Dirk not getting invited to things by how nice it was to be invited to things as Hal, not Dirk-and-Hal, but invitations extended to Hal-and-Dirk or to Hal and also to Dirk are good too. Better, even.
