Spoiler Marty sure is still being Marty, god damn. :') I think my favorite Marty Moment (tm) was when he called and was all "Talk to me! yes I know I called you, mumble mumble." Fun way of showing just how much bullshit he's spinning in his persona at Sour Cream.
link link i dont know where to find the new episodes!! D:} wait yall are probably watching on actual tvs, huh
marty's voice makes my voice hurt marty is also slimy as fuck, and i hate every minute of him *shudderrrr*
Hey, Marty is way too successful for that. ...that said, he did give me Ray vibes the whole episode. Maybe because he was trying to hard to be young and hip, and spamming words like "real talk"
Spoiler: real talk I did get the impression though that even though Marty looks super rich and successful, he's actually up to his ears in debt from shitty investments and spending money he doesn't have to make himself look more successful than he actually is. I think it's because the way he answered his phone like a big shot and then followed it with "I know I called you." and also when he told Sour Cream that he needed this deal. also Spoiler: liminal's shit festering hell hole of a life him calling Sour Cream "selfish" for not doing what he wants and suddenly I remember all the times when I was called selfish like that by my parents too. the difference is, my parents actually give a fuck even if they are problematic. They are not an actual piece of shit like Marty.
Spoiler: response I absolutely got that vibe too. All that plus having to fulfill his obligation to deliver the check in person- he can't afford to just pay someone to take care of it for him- and I doubt he'd have even bothered manipulating Sour Cream at all if he hadn't been desperate; Beach City doesn't exactly look like a large customer base nor any kind of trendsetter. Spoiler: On another note! Also, dancing Vidalia makes me so happy. I love how she was the ~bad girl~ and being a good mother now isn't shown as either stifling/punishing her for, or redeeming her from, that part of herself, it's just another stage of her life that she's totally cool with and she loves her babbys and aaaaah (bury me in Amedalia tbh)
There is a mobile game coming out where you can play as your own gemsona and you can make a Ruby, a Quartz or... a Pearl. ARMY OF REBEL PEARLS CONFIRMED
I really hope Greg asked Garnet about good stock options and invested a good chunk of that money, paid off any debts around, and all of that.
i think they're just doing handwavey kidshow logic in that the money was essentially a plot device to make this episode happen and that's it.
...that's kinda lazy writing though. Especially in a show that's trying to be better than normal kidshow logic.
This. I MUST SEE IT NOW. EDIT: Spoiler: spoilers from a promo From the Beach City Drift promo it sounds like Greg did keep a good chunk of the money, so...
