ahhhhh someone on my plurk has already seen earthlings, but none of my usual sources have it. i don't dare open the plurk again to ask where they saw it, because i already saw two spoilers in it :O eta I found one dailymotion that claims to be it, and has about the right timestamp, but it's sure not in a hurry to load. It's a nice completion of the arc they've been having---they're both the oddballs, the youngest and least informed and Earth-originating of the bunch. Smokey Quartz, with the freaking yoyos and sense of humor, is a good fusion for them. Jasper's motivation in coming to earth was to finish Rose off for destroying[?] Pink Diamond. That first and most powerful loyalty... And TBH damn man but she wasn't wrong about how the gems and thus Steven started to get through to Peridot. They did indeed strip her of her limb enhancers, and her connection to Homeworld, and trap her until she was so resigned to her fate that Steven could start to talk to her. And they only did that much because if it failed they could rebubble her. The difference is that Steven doesn't befriend people for the sake of the power they can give them, like Jasper does with Lapis and the monsters she captured. He does it because he genuinely thinks Earth is great and he wants them to experience it too. That bit about "nobody I fuse with ever wants to stay" and that bitter laughter followed so quickly by corruption... WELL! Don't fuse with corrupted gems, it's bad for your health, especially if you're already in a mentally/emotionally unsound place. More thoughts later.

Spoiler: earthlings spoiler Jasper going down very easily has been a theme for this arc. I think it's possible that she's just not on her A game because she's not doing well mentally and emotionally and just isn't investing herself in fights like she normally does. Just compare how she fought competently in Jailbreak and Super Watermelon Island to how she fought Stevonnie and Smokey Quartz. Or maybe it has something to do with fighting fusions specifically that's throwing her off now? Since she beat the snot out of those gem monsters and Amethyst.
