Spoiler: i am my mom HOLY SHIT THAT CLIFFHANGER. I love how they still have Peridot's old report! And poor Peridot once she finds out...it's very clear that Aquamarine is going solely off of that report from season 1, and obviously Peri has come a looooooong way since then. And speaking of Aquamarine, holy fuck she's creepy. I love her, she's delightfully unsettling and y'all know I love me a good creepy character. :3 I might have to draw her... now how am i gonna survive the inevitable hiatus jfc
Spoiler: leaks i'm really glad that, despite the tumblr fairly oddparents tags being little shits about su spoilers, i ended up still getting surprised by stuff. and just... damn wow... aquamarine is really cute. and some of her expressions and her voice would be really fitting on flowey. ('cause, naturally, i just have to think about undertale. :P) and ugh, tumblr, why did you have to introduce me to the Discourse about the character before i even met her? why oh why are you the website that you are?
Something just occurred to me... this is kind of all (the fans) fault here. Spoiler: half-serious speculation We saw foreshadowing for little miss Pierrot-face when Steven was changing the settings on the Ruby ship - and everyone immediately went omg I want to see the tiny Gem please yes good Welp, we did. And she turned out to basically be miss Godmode :P And now Steven's gone, and on his own, and helpless. Just like he was on the way to the Zoo.
Spoiler: Mannnnnnn The moment they did the Steven trapped in the log while important scary things happen bit, it was reaaaaal clear that there were going to be a lot of moments of Steven being trapped and feeling responsible and feedback looping about it, in order to force the story in a given direction, and I grumped through most of it. I didn't expect the direction to be "Steven (and Lars) on the ship together," so that's something. I wish I'd seen these episodes with less speculation and unspoilered/untagged spoilers, though. Didn't find myself like, enjoying the buildup. And these were all about the buildup. Fave moments: Steven and Barb talking that "that this might be serious," Jamie monologuing out of fear, Doug encouraging and remembering the names of the secret identities
Spoiler: leaks, steven angst thoughts i've been thinking about it and though creating steven for the sake of a New Experience, a new person, sounds pretty nice in theory, in practice, that basically means that rose quartz died and fucked the crystal gems up with grief and steven with angst... just 'cause she thought creating a new person would be cool. and yeah, steven is good and rose's life might not have been any better than his if she was still alive, but... damn... i would not be surprised if steven believed his existence basically went and caused a lot of pain for nothing. if he still felt like having a magical destiny would be better, like then at least all that pain would have a purpose... just goddamn... goddamn... rose really had no idea what the hell she was doing.
For anyone having trouble with dailymotion, either getting it to work at all on their device or getting it to be better quality, youtuber MR. SHADOWMAN has all the eps up in good quality but they are in parts.
i watched the episodes all in high quality on kimcartoon. kimcartoon, not kisscartoon. kimcartoon. the new eps start from ep 20 there, not ep 21 like i had initially supposed.
