1. Where in the world does your OC feel most at home? Is there any reason why? If it’s not the place they were born, where were they born? Is there a certain somebody that makes them feel at home where ever they may be? What does home mean to them?

Not so much a place as a feeling. For Nico it's coastal desert city outskirts/suburbs- think the edges and just outside of LA. For Gale it's city streets on the nice side of town at approx. 2am. It's just the vibe that makes them feel comfiest, they don't have any real ties to any specific location they've lived.​

2. What are your OCs favourite snacks? Their favourite comfort food which always cheers them up when they’re down? Favourite meal to make? Do they enjoy baking and cooking and are they any good in the kitchen?

Nico likes spicy jerky or pepperoni sticks for snacks, Gale likes little pre-packaged snack cakes. For comfort food Nico likes a really thick beef stew with mushrooms and squash, Gale likes crab fried rice. Nico really only knows how to cook survival food and, if forced to fend for himself, will eat like a broke college student. Gale has a fondness for making Asian food, mostly Japanese.​

3. Where does your OC go when they need to have some time to themself? Would they ever have their own “comfort corner” filled with all the things they like? Do they have a favourite spot outside that feels like its theirs and theirs alone?

They move around too much to have a specific place, but when Nico needs to be alone he goes up, and will climb up onto the roof. If she needs a quick moment alone, Gale will either lock herself in the bathroom or step onto the balcony if available. If she needs a long time to think she'll actually go out into public, usually to make a smoke run or get a cup of coffee.​

4. Does your OC enjoy hugs? What do they do as a show of affection for: their friends, their family, their significant other(s) or for strangers? Over all what are they like with receiving affection from others?

Neither of them do especially, though they're very tactile with each other. If they're together and alone they're in almost constant physical contact. Nico and Lav also tend to lean on each other, or occasionally just reach out and touch on the arm or something. Nico and Gale are both service queers; Nico is far more likely to fight what's making a friend uncomfortable than he is to hug them. He does do this thing like- you know when a cat who likes you is passing by and just kind of... bonks their side against your legs? He does the bipedal version of that, brief contact in passing. Gale will touch peoples' hands a lot, both out of affection and casually even if she doesn't like someone, whereas Nico is incredibly uncomfortable any form of physical contact unless you're at least a level 5 friend.​

5. What little things do they notice about people or the world around them that make them happy? What tiny little treasures do they find in the normal every day that makes the world seem a little brighter for them?

Nico likes craftsmanship. Knives especially but not exclusively, and not just for murder purposes. One of the few bits of non-murder kit that Nico has kept with him on the move is a very nice set of kitchen knives; Gale uses them more because she actually cooks, but they're Nico's treasures. Gale likes pretty weeds, dandelions growing out of cracks in the pavement and such.​

6. Describe your OC through the eyes of someone absolutely head-over-heels in love with them

"He's- [frustration noises]. He's convinced he's not good for anything but violence and- ok, yeah, he's a big brute but he's the smartest brute I've ever met, and he's so intensely loyal once he lets himself be. I want to take him apart, and maybe one of these times when I put him back together the pieces will all fit. [Beat] And have you seen him? G'ddamn."
"She scares my demons." "Ok, no, but seriously, she's absolutely gorgeous in and after a fight, she burns but she burns deep and quiet like a coal fire, and she's always exactly as cruel as someone deserves. She's got the steadiest, loveliest hands I've ever seen, she's sharp and graceful and deadly."​

7. How does your OC handle being unwell or forced to rest in bed? Who cares for them and in what ways? Does your OC enjoy being doted on or are they a terrible patient? Reversed: is your OC good at taking care of others who are ill or in need?

Fortunately, it takes a lot to get either of them that sick. Nico gets dramatic about it. He's dying. Gale turns into a massive snippity bitch. Nico's pretty used to dealing with Lav when she's sick, so he just delivers food/meds/liquids as needed and then fucks off out of blast range until he's needed again. Gale stays with him when he's sick, and while she doesn't baby him- she'll bring him food but won't feed him- she might put his head in her lap and pet his hair, or read to him.​

8. What way does your OC show that they care without using words? What way do others show your OC that they’re cared about without using speech?

Like I said before, they're both service queers. Nico in particular tends to default to "identify the problem and hit it until it stops being a problem." Sometimes the hitting is percussive maintenance.​

9. What is your OC’s favourite way to relax after a stressful day? Do they have a favourite book to curl up with? A hobby? Or do they have a nice bubble bath and have an early night to bed?

Nico likes really dumb action or horror movies, all shock value and explosions. Gale reads, any books she can get her hands on and some of the weird dark comics. Also kinky sex and, if it's a particularly bad night, murder- either they go hunting or they kill each other.​

10. How deeply does your OC feel? Are they typically empathetic or do they have a hard time connecting with others in this way? What are they like when offering support and comfort to someone they care for?

Nico is actually deeply empathetic, and a lot of his excuses for violence are vulnerable people getting hurt. He also has a lot of emotions, he just transmutes most of them to anger or humor because those are safer. Gale struggles more with natural empathy but acts on it more easily.​

11. What does your OC do to calm down when they’re scared or after a nightmare? Do they have any special comfort items or need to be reassured by a specific person? How do they handle this if they’re alone?

Usually they're together, and just snuggle closer. When they're apart Nico gets up and either works out until his brain stops or goes out and climbs thing. Gale makes tea or hot chocolate (with orange or cayenne depending on mood) and sorts out her gear.​

12. What are some of their favourite things and why? List as many as you can think of!

Nico likes handmade things for reasons he's not entirely sure of (because his original self being a craftsman is imprinted on his soul), spicy food because he's a masochist (and because he grew up eating it), coastal deserts because of his hometown, storms and soft florals because of Lav, well-made knives both because he appreciates craftsmanship and because they're practical, the color red because he thinks he looks good in it, and urban climbing because he likes being able to get to places most other people can't.
Gale likes Chinese street food because she grew up right outside of her home city's Chinatown, contact poisons because they're just fucking devious, books because she likes taking herself Elsewhere for a while, makeup and fashion because how easy it is to change someone's perception of her, big cats because they're graceful, puzzles because she likes challenges, and origami flowers because they're pretty and sometimes she gets bored.​

13. How would your OC decorate a notebook or journal? What kind of things are written in there? Could you give an example of a nice entry?

Both keep notebooks for longer, more in-depth hunts, mostly notes about their prey and any security/anyone they may live with or near but sometimes observations about the town or city or whatever else comes to mind. They're usually pretty disjointed and unorganized.
Nico doodles a character he calls "match man" or "pin man," who's a slightly more elaborate stick figure made out of dots and lines he draws doing little adventurous things, like climbing cliffs or running from zombies. He's always crushed by a rock at the bottom right corner of every page he appears on. Gale draws roses from spirals, adding new petals until she gets bored.
No example of Gale's because she writes in an impenetrable shorthand that could be mistaken for code.
From Nico's, with every sentence written in a different location on the page and with zero regard for any lines the paper may have: "Room 10A. Visible from rooftop across street. Sushi place on trade does gyoza? Calls daughter 19:00 every day, usually on balcony. Bed window lock rusted shut narrow ledge not worth it. Fire escape noisy. Haven't had gyoza in forever. Average police response for neighborhood: 36 minutes during day, 48 minutes from 18:00 to approx. sunrise. Head in the safe has got to be starting to stink. Get book with hot spider for Gale."​

14. Who are this characters friends and found family? How did they meet, how long have they been friends for, could they ever be something more than just friends? What do they look for in a friend or a romantic partner?

Their social circle is fairly small, since they move around a lot and there are rarely more than a few Murderers operating in the same territory at the same time unless it's specifically a gathering. They're both friendly with some of the others, but not especially close. They both look for... understanding, people who don't flinch away from what they are, both in friends and partners. For short-term friendships they don't plan on maintaining, Nico feels most comfortable with people who aren't put off by his abrasiveness but aren't huge assholes themselves. Nico likes punks, mostly; loud angry fucked up people who don't punch down because they're angry and fucked up. He actually has a fairly strong sense of justice and fairness.
Gale will go to craft groups and knitting circles and hang out with the sweetest most unassuming mama bears who were probably arrested at least once as a teen for egging cop cars.​

1. What is your favourite fact about this character and why?

Nico's vision is absolute garbage, which is why he prefers things he can watch over things he can read. He's literate, but he refuses to get glasses (his shades don't even have prescription lenses) and struggling to read too long gives him headaches.
I never planned Gale. She just showed up one day and I went "ok yeah sure, this is happening."​

2. Does this OC deserve better treatment from you? Do you make them suffer just a little bit too much? Be nice to them!

No. They wouldn't be who they are without the shit they went through before, and at this point in things they're both honestly pretty happy. Nico misses his sister, but he's learned to live without her. Nico and Gale both enjoy what they do, they're very happy together, and their relationship is... honestly pretty healthy. Healthier than you would think with the mutual murder.​

Neither of them are particularly Baby? Nico's a gremlin, that's different.​

4. If you as the writer could erase one traumatic event from this OC’s life what would it be and why?

Nothing, really. Each traumatic event has its purpose, whether individually or to establish the weather of their lives. I couldn't really remove an event without changing the foundation of the character.​
