I'm trying to get votes on my shortlist of words for renaming my business, and have posted on several small-business-related Reddits, but have received only vague approving noises and no actual feedback despite begging people to be specific. Does anyone know of a better way to get opinions?

Does anyone have any suggestions for what the best video streaming service is that will let you stream something you're playing from a DVD?

I have a really intense itch in my pubic area, specifically around my pubic mound. It's definitely NOT crabs, because I haven't had sex since July, I had an STD test done a while back and it came up clean, and I only started experiencing these symptoms the other day. Uhhhh, skin there looks reddish but that might just be 'cause I've been scratching? It looks completely normal otherwise.

Any idea what might be going on? If this itching continues I wanna be able to treat it, it's mad uncomf. :(

Hydrocortisone has always worked as a symptom treatment for similar things for me. It just stops the itching, not the cause, but that’ll stop the increased irritation from scratching.

Sometimes I get a similar type of itch when I use soap or shower gel to wash that area, even when I’m sure I rinsed all the soap off, so maybe a thing with natural skin oils?

Huh, that's very possible! TMI, but my pubes tend to REALLY attract soap, so that may very well be the cause.

I'll try to get some hydrocortisone cream ASAP! Thank you so much! <3

I have really long periods and I don't like tampons as much, so sometimes the pads irritate my skin. Also like if I walked around and sweat a lot, that can irritate things as well

What should a person do when they have an inflated sense of self importance?

I am already pretty aware of it, but it still seeps through and affects my outside life
And also the act of feeling that is unwanted.

Especially if you´re german, is it more or less expensive to bring your own frame for the glasses folks to put prescription glasses in? Does it matter if they have lenses already in that would need to be removed?

(I may need glasses and I am picky about frames, and idk if I would feel good with anything insurance pays for)

American here so idk if this is true in Germany, but here at least, usually you can have lenses replaced (and iirc it’s cheaper)!

I've been sleeping a good 9-10 hours fine lately, but I keep feeling really sleepy (not tired per se) when I wake up and feel like sleeping a whole lot more (which isn't really feasible since I'm working now and have to keep a good schedule). anyone know what's up with this and if there's anything that can be done about it?

There's a couple of different options, but the one that it's easiest to do something about is the possibility that you're waking up in the middle of a deeper part of your sleep cycle. There's a number of smartphone apps that track your sleep and wake you up in a lighter part of your sleep cycle as long as it's within a set length of time before you need to wake up (I've used the SleepBot app for this feature before), or there's several alarm clocks on the market that do a gentle wakeup with, like, chimes that get louder over half an hour so you're more likely to wake up during a lighter phase of sleep.

SleepBot is excellent ime. I have a difficult time remembering to set up my phone to make full use of it though.

I have found that the Springtide alarm tone on the iphone is way, way superior to most other alarm tones I’ve tried. It starts out with chimes so soft they’re nearly inaudible, and ramps up the volume. It does this in seconds, not over half an hour, but it still makes a huge difference. I haven’t once woken to it feeling startled.

Thirding SleepBot! The gradual alarms are really helpful.

ah, too bad I don't have a smartphone or an alarm clock with a gentle wake-up option (or any other options really beyond the default screaming)... guess I'm just gonna have to put up with it then

Does the fatigue last all day? If so it might be worth looking at either anemia or frequent dehydration (of the 'apply gatorade' type rather than the 'apply water' type).

no, it seems to just be only immediately after waking up, and goes away when I get up and do stuff...I wouldn't really call it 'fatigue' myself, it's just sleepiness; more an annoyance I'd preferably like to be rid of than an actual problem

now that I'm thinking about it though, this isn't the first time I've had to deal with this weird desire to oversleep thing...iirc the last few times were also when I was trying to keep a consistent sleep schedule for w/e reason? probably worth noting that my sleep schedule will completely fuck up without a routine like work to keep it in place (and even then sometimes it'll still go weird because apparently a consistent sleep schedule is just something I'm incapable of holding for more than a few weeks)

perhaps you have a circadian rhythm that's not 24 hours long even with light cues? some people's stick to more like 25 hours it's weird

huh, I've never heard of that. could be possible? but I have no way of telling at least atm

tbh I'd probably pin down mental illness strangling my brain as the most likely factor in my sleep being wonky first and foremost...though if that's really the case then there's not really a whole lot I can do about anything rn except try to deal with it

If left to my own devices for a extended period of time, I kind off drift around the clock, so I definitely think I have a longer than 24 circadian rhythm. Or maybe a disordered one, who knows.

I've found working second shift (or 1.5, really) makes it a lot easier to maintain a steady sleep schedule and it only drifts about two hours or so on weekends, which isn't too bad to put back for Monday. Hell on your social life though

So I'm writing an email to my parents cause I'm a anxious little scaredy cat that can't talk face to face about the vacation I'm planning on taking on my own. Though I feel like a bit of an idiot in doing so cause I'm 27 and feel like I'm asking them permission to go somewhere. Though I guess that comes with living at home. I'm just not sure if I should mention going whether they approve or not since I'm an adult and am using my own money. Which is the case I'm just trying to keep them in the loop. They've been down right hostile to the idea before so I'm worried if I do say something kind of passive aggressive it will set them off.
