Medic and Pyro buddies B) I mained Medic, had about half as many hours as Pyro (oh man, when I finally got good at airblasting people ..... I was so proud), and like, 1min Scout playtime from an ill-fated Scoutrush.

I hung out on the TF2chan steam chat back in the day, I never produced any real content but popcorn.gif'd my way around the drama. I think I stopped hanging out there late 2010 when my laptop crapped out for good, and by the time my desktop computer was up and running properly I was ass-deep in Homestuck and had bigger fish to fry.

I think my favourite writer on that board was TenCentBastard but they had mostly stopped writing by the time I was on the scene. Wow, this thread takes me back.

My best friend dragged me into tf2 back when there was like only half of the meet the team videos up and convinced me to give rping it a shot. The characters being easy to OCify was a big contributing factor to me agreeing. Then pulled my very shy and reluctant self into an LJ rp group. Had some of my most quality years rping there.

Getting on Tumblr was twofold because tf2. The group did some side Tumblr rp. Not my jam really but I do remember Corin! I was right a go of binge read through the blog.
The other half was following artists and writers to Tumblr. Prawnsy was the first also followed outfightinglions, teratomarty, drtanner and kilomonster (highly recommend her OCs and comic)

Also engaged to someone I met through aforementioned rp group so all in all pretty big formative fandom for me.

 

So excited to see new content for tf2! I fell out of the game a while ago but maybe it’s time to come back.

 

I’ve been playing again for about a week now and man, I missed this game. Even when I’m losing it’s still pretty darn good. Also I got a revenge taunt kill!

I'm just delighted by how well those match up to the Defense-Offense-Support roles too. It's so true.
