Another thing: Ruby's scythe-wielding style seems to have changed quite a bit. More staccato swings, less smooth flowing circles.

seriously though the aesthetic change is a little strange, but like, I kind of dig it? Especially with the Grimm.

Also I want all the fanfics about that old Grimm

 

I never watched Vol 3, i was planning to binge at the end of season and then everything that happened with Monty... :[ I'm spoiled for it, though, and not sure if I should continue on. Vol 4 is going to make that decision for me.

But I feel everyone should know that my reaction to rwby OCs at the very beginning when the color thing was introduced was to promptly make a rainbow themed character because I can't be tamed. (Her name is Royal Guinevere Bishop, please just call her Gwen.)

okay CHRIST I watched the latest episode and I'M FEELING LIKE ABUSE TWS ARE NEEDED ON THE NEW SCENE WITH WEISS AND HER DAD

I will spoiler this for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but if you want to read it so you can prepare yourself, I'm just gonna generally state what happened in the scene

Weiss's dad got mad at her for getting upset at the guests at the event he had (which is understandable on her part, imo) and she told him she was going to leave; he slapped her, pretty much told her she was entitled and that he'd obviously failed as a parent and she was just accustomed to having everything she wanted all the time and so as a result he was going to be giving her "special attention" and also informed her she'd be trapped in the house from now on. he also slapped her and stripped her of her inheritance! yeah. great times.
