raven was the original Magic Goth Girl that baby me latched onto and really adored. i have a type. (and a preferred fashion style XD) also, rewatching it now, i really appreciate terra much more than i did as a kid. someone get this child therapy.
Gods the Mad Mod episode was great. I should watch that again because just...urgh. The show managed to do like monster of the week unimportant little eps pretty damn well most of the time. Which is impressive.
God if I think about it the body change episode is part of why I like Star as much as I do. I liked her prior to that but that episode got me to understand things about her more and go oh. I wonder if it haf that effect on anyone else. Probably.

I felt a lot of Cyborg's importance didn't come until fairly late into the show, or at the least much more infrequently or less prominently than other people. Beast Boy's Terra arc was a huge deal, Raven and Robin had a lot of things, Starfire just tended towards being memorable as the fish out of water...Cyborg fell into the "Bro" territory kind of often for Robin and Beast Boy, I think. He played second fiddle often. If I remember right he had a huge role in the HIVE plot and stuff like that, but it just didn't feel as high stakes or personal to me for some reason. Maybe I'm misremembering.
Seconding @Xavius!! I feel like he was one of the characters that they could have/were going to expand on more, and I'm SO UPSET they got canceled before they could :/ his HIVE stuff and the car bit and the...er, the robot bros thing? going past 100%? SO GOOD.

TV tropes says it's basically just Deathstroke renamed by executive meddling. Slade is Deathstroke's human name. Jerico's in it! For the grand total of like one episode though. YES YES YES ME TOO I am super pumped for that part of the rewatch. I think that was my first angst fest in a show and I adored it. Lol I was watching that episode (it's one of the first ones) and there was that part where they explain their past to each other and I noticed they cut away from that conversation after Raven says "I was born in a place called Azarath" and loled because that's p much the only part of Raven's backstory that's PG. The rest of that sentence goes something like "where my mom, who was raped by Trigon in disguise as her husband, sought shelter from him and then basically abandoned me for several years while I learned to suppress the entire emotional spectrum in myself cause even being happy blew shit up. And then the person who taught me to do that and basically raised me died."
the HIVE arc was so good!!!! i wish we'd had a chance to see more stuff like that with cyborg but that one really stuck with me seeing him hide stuff from the titans for basically the first time, the desire to be seen as human again, just. fuck

Oh hey cool, teen titans thread. My fave now is starfire but robin was the original trash son. That one episode where slade set up a weird mind control dust to make robin hallucinate him after he died is my all time favorite for... reasons.
