;-; I suppose that at least there's the fun of like...mixing and matching bits and bobs of the various takes on the characters and franchise to create new versions. Which is really satisfying but doesn't quite make up for bits missing in the actual books or show. But with like superhero shit that's like my favorite thing to do. Because the sources are often so flawed in parts and there's a lot of bits you can pick and choose from.
It does piss me off to no end how little characterization Cyborg got, especially because the characterization he did get was so good. Like, his final showdown with Brother Blood made me get real tears in my eyes. Brother Blood was utterly obsessed with him for an entire season because Cyborg could resist his mind control yandere much and he kept spouting off all that 'it's just because you're part machine' stuff but then the showdown happened and it wasn't Cyborg's machine parts, he just had that much willpower that Brother Blood couldn't touch him and it was a really powerful moment watching Cyborg be strong as a human for once instead of as a dude with a badass arm cannon I really love Cyborg okay
ExCUSE you, she was in the Titans for like 5 seconds so, like, talk to the hand. No but for real there are a lot of honorary members so if I listed anyone besides the core 5 I'd proably be listing forever.
my favorite member is Red X who has never joined and would be deeply offended by the insinuation but I like to think in my heart everyone knows What's Up given that he inevitably ends up helping them out anyways, that amoral selfish bastard <3
@autopsyblue :') i'd say purely based on the name itself, they're about equal levels of "oh my god", but for me garfield is mmmmarginally worse simply because i can't stop thinking "i'm garfield, the deals t-rex!"
Red X is a cartoon original character. He only shows up in media related directly to the cartoon and as far as I know it was never explained more than what we saw in the show. Which I really like honestly. It's fun seeing, say, the Terra and Jerico arc adapted to the show but the Red X thing was entirely unique. A good chunk of the Slade shit was unique to the show. Deathstroke is a very different character from Slade despite the latter being based on him.
red x is Jason Todd OBVIOUSLY (he literally can't possibly be cause titans!Robin is Dick Grayson) Slade is such a good villain. Poor Robin, poor Terra, poor Titans in general
I'm ngl the Todd theory irritates the shit out of because it was like... Accepted Fanon for a while to the point where if you DIDN'T assume he was Red X, You Were A Bad Fan. I was pretty alright with it before it got jammed down my throat. (Though I am not a huge Batman fan so I could be wrong but I was also under the impression that the Red Hood and Red X were very different characters, so that always confused me too.)
aw sorry I just Really Love Jason Todd I was kind of a latecomer to the fandom so I didn't know people were that obnoxious about it :/
