Listening to the Mpreg one. Haven't even gotten to the gory details, and I'm already feeling the secondhand embarrassment. "Male pregnancy will reduce their instinctual desire to murder~" oh god.
Lol, I love these, even though they make me wince. A question, though- Are there full episode transcripts anywhere? I have trouble taking in media that's audio-only, hella short attention-span. I know some later episodes have an accompanying Googledocs file, but the stuff in there isn't always in order.
Not that I can find :/ I'm in a similar boat; I often have to rewind episodes because I've drifted off and suddenly everyone is laughing and I missed the joke. ...Maybe one day when I have some spare time I'll transcribe a couple of my favourites. ETA: ... even though it's just occurred to me that unless they're very distinctive (Lemon, Bunnybread), I can't tell male voices apart. Oops. Well, I'll do my best :P
@(Not) Literally A Bird I am pretty okay at telling their voices apart, so I can always help! My main problem is catching their voices when they do the intro, because otherwise I'm like, "Ah yes, Dude A and Dude B are very funny this evening, I can't remember your names tho." I can at least tell which one Jack Chick is because I thought he was a girl and that Portaxx was a guy, so I at least remember those two XD
ahhhh, the fucking christian domestic discipline site. All I want to do is pick one of the posters up and shake them while yelling "but why is the woman held accountable by means of physical violence, but the man's mistakes and transgressions are not also punishable??????" Horror tourism might not be for me. It just makes me want to pick fight with loons, and what the fuck is that gonna accomplish? First episode I listened to was the Pokegirls one, and I thought she was a youngish dude. Haven't heard Jack Chick yet, I don't think. Been kinda jumping around.
@tinyhydra christian domestic disclipline is one of the more 'this is seriously hurting people' episodes they do. I'd suggest something silly and harmless like a pagan nonsense or strange, silly fetish episode where people are being weird but not actively harmful (Any Sink You Want, a quicksand fetish ep, is pretty harmless if i remember right) I can't always handle the people who are actually doing stupid things that hurt people either. i also want to yell at the dumbs. @Choco god do i love the pokegirls episode. what a ridiculous premise. why is it so complex.
update: just finished pokegirls, and omg. poor poor portaxx. her reactions made it so much better (in a terrible kind of way). also i've played corruption of champions/trials in tainted space, so i think i'm pretty much immune to weird fucking fetish porn games now because i was just like "oh that's not even that weird!!"
btw: i'm now up to ep. 35, and my favorite is still the first allrecipes.com episode (#26). i laughed so hard i fell off my chair twice. also does anyone else listen and talk to the people like they're there because i find myself saying out loud "i don't know what's going on D:" like with the face and everything. and when everyone's like "ohhhhhh" (as in "that's so bad") i p much am right there alongside them.
.....sametho. curse my friend who introduced me to that game. it's so strange yet absorbing to play. this ep http://thefpl.us/episode/174 is making fun of the wiki of a weird monstergirls h-game, you'll probly enjoy it if you enjoy the pokegirls ep and coc
i definitely throw in my own 'Hi lemon!' with the rest, and a few other comments in an episode usually. They are very engaging
In case anyone wants to know, and why wouldnt you, and they dont mention it in the ep, there was a trend across a number of fandoms to write tribute clingfic. Iirc, theres ones for several of of the Doctors.
acierocolotl oh my god his voice is so cute like i just want to squish his cheeks and his canadian accent i'm done
I am currently listening to the clingfilm episode because as hard as it is for me to skip around I am intrigued
personally I use this as obnoxiously nsfw comfort background noise which leads to the most out of context snippets actually catchign my attention lmao on the other hand I am kinda good at juggling writing and listening to completely unrelated things (in different languages even) so ymmv
"your mileage may vary" as in "this works for me but it might not for you" idk I know I'm good at auditory processing while doing totally unrelated stuff is what I wanted to say but tried to do it without sounding so much like I'm bragging UnU"
After a few episodes: the food ones are funny indeed. I am avoiding the one called Angry Angry Hippos: "There's also the opinions of angry idiots on the internet, who loudly shriek that drawing a correlation between weight and health is equivalent to committing a hate crime." I mean, extremists I disagree with exist, but I am feeling too sorry for them, in this case.
