On the note of TGWP music, I know this is a well-known piece, but I hadn't heard this cover before today, and Voltaire is one of my favorite artists, and it seems like something Jazz would use to sort his current life Spoiler: lyrics I've heard there was a secret chord That David played, and it pleased the Lord But you don't really care for music, do you? It goes like this The fourth, the fifth The minor fall, the major lift The baffled king composing Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Your faith was strong but you needed proof You saw her bathing on the roof Her beauty in the moonlight overthrew you She tied you to a kitchen chair She broke your throne, she cut your hair And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Baby I have been here before I know this room, I've walked this floor I used to live alone before I knew you. I've seen your flag on the marble arch Love is not a victory march It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah There was a time when you let me know What's really going on below But now you never show it to me, do you? And remember when I moved in you The holy dove was moving too And every breath we drew was Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Maybe there’s a God above But all I’ve ever learned from love Was how to shoot at someone who outdrew you It’s not a cry you can hear at night It’s not somebody who's seen the light It’s a cold and it’s a broken Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah I gave you all, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I told the truth, I didn't come to fool you I'm sorry that it all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah, Hallelujah Hallelujah And @Allenna, did you still want music recommendations? Because I'm free from work, crafts, and art wips now, and I'll give them. I only ask, because once I start, the floodgates will open. I could scream about music and character feels for ages and ages. I have no sense of self-restraint when it comes to music, so I just want to be sure you're still after this stuff before I throw it at you.
Mildly off-topic but holy shit another Voltaire fan hello (I am not nearly far enough to know if I think song is suitable for TGWP Jazz but yesss Voltaire's cover is amazing)
So I was looking at this blog, and... Spoiler: Normal Poems for Normal Transformers (click for images) Indulge in philosophy that absolves you of responsibility. If nothing matters, it doesn't matter if you bend and break people for your own benefit. You can't lose! If you can't act your age, lie about it. What doesn’t kill you, you have to live with. He has nothing to offer you. I don’t either, but I won’t take anywhere near as much away. Evil deeds with good intentions are no less evil There are two sides to every story but there are infinite ways to interpret them
I had every intention of taking a shower and catching up on my sleep for a goddamn change. Did that happen? No. No, that did not happen. Spoiler: blood, suicide mention #so many of the complicated panels I wanted had speech balloons to be edited out #SO MANY #WHY #*sob*
There's this WIP I'm following that updated today, and it is so good and so upsetting. I'm going to link it even though it is a WIP because it has such a great creepy Trepan, which seems relevant to the interests of a lot of people here. (Mind the tags - only about half of them have happened in the story so far, but that's enough.) The premise is, essentially, what if Trepan uses shadow play to turn Megatron into a medic, send him to the academy, and set him up for failure? Echoes of Messatine And if you (like me) like being upset, I'd also rec the author's finished series, Quality of Mercy, set in the Prime universe but easy enough to follow without having seen it. It's MegOP and the main plot is 'what if a human terrorist group that hates mecha found slave coding and put it to use?' This is also a 'mind the tags' story. But it's just... So good. I'm going to reread it again today. Edited for clarity
