This has been bugging me for awhile, why is tailgate's innermost energon green, while everyone else's is purple? Does that mean he's a .1 percenter? I'm confused

It's really a shame Kaon is dead, because I feel like he probably played a big part in the domestication too, and I want all complicated emotions all the time always Alsoooooo on the note of that big long post, it occurs to me just how full of failure Dominus Ambus's life was. We're told about his quests and research and such. But he failed to find Luna I (and he spent enough time trying to find it that war broke out and the decepticons conquered almost the entire planet while he was gone... and he still returned empty-handed). He didn't cure cybercrosis. The grand cybertronian taxonomy was being erased in front of his eyes. If the Ambus test had been strictly applied to his core self, he might not have passed (though he does have a humanoid root mode, which is something ravage and laserbeak and company lack). And even if he passed it, his own taxonomy system placed his core self at the lower end of cybertronian society. We don't see many successes for him is what I'm saying. And given the government system in place at the time, if you looked at his core self... what was his function? What was his purpose? What was his reason for existing??? He doesn't have a built-in reason to exist, and his biggest external reason to exist was being erased as he watched. Man, the more I think about it, the more I really like this giving-up-on-life solo mission thing. On an optimistic note, if Ratchet was maybe possibly able to keep Dominus from full brain death, well....... It's been established that Spinister knows how to undo domestication. Without dying in the process, thank you very much, Chromedome. And he was able to figure it out in like, a matter of minutes, while being menaced by Fortress Maximus. And in terms of practical surgery, he de-sploded Fulcrum, and you'd think that K-class soldiers were designed to be hard to disarm. Maybe possibly if the crews could just CROSS OVER ALREADY, something could be done for Dominus. Spinister's pretty clearly brilliant, maybe he can even work out how to undo the damage from Chromedome's initial attempt. I just want all my faves in one happy family being happy together, gahhhhhhhhhh.
It's because he was dying. It tainted his energon! It's basically like, uh... if someone's blood looked really fucked up that'd be a bad thing. But with giant robots and magic bloodliquidfuel.
Spoiler: MTMTE 53 I think Prowl did know, and doesn't consider Minimus to be important enough to deal with. He prefers more subtle stuff.
Spoiler: 53 HUH You know, they never really do things without a reason in MTMTE, and every apparently side-comic has had an impact later down the line. What's the point of bringing in the whole domestication plot point in the latest scavenger arc? WELL, we do have domesticated Dominus here, and it doesn't seem very like Roberts to slam that emotional door shut without much lead up. (And the fact that the WAP has been established to go on Wacky Adventures too-- and these are the Decepticons who most embodied the ideal rather than being psychotic killers without a cause.) So with the domestication thing coming to a head, Megatron's failing faith in both himself (his self restraint) and his original cause, and the desperate need for a ship that isn't the LL... well, wouldn't the WAP and the Scavengers be sort of perfect to bring in here? Which would be a great time to elaborate why Skids really Does Not Like Misfire too. (The only concern I have is that the LL crew is DISTRESSINGLY PRONE TO DYING HORRIFICALLY and the last thing I want is for that to happen to the Scavengers. Well. More than it already has.)
Spoiler: MTMTE 53 Domestication! I can see myself out I'm so ready for it. I don't even know for sure it'll happen, but there's enough parallel threads there that I neeeeed it. The weird shit quotient with these two teams on the same ship would be through the goddamn roof (and also would make for a more even balance of Autobots and Decepticons in the squad, which I suspect might be significant based on the symbols from thing that talked to Skids through the portal back on Luna 1 - an Autobot badge and a Decepticon badge, with no Lost Light)
Spoiler: MTMTE 53 WHAT AN AMAZING RAINBOW COLORED ROLLERCOASTER THAT WAS. Oh god, Cyclonus, CYCLONUS! YOU ARE SO ANIME RIGHT NOW THAT ITS ALMOST PAINFUL! I had no idea that I wanted Whirl and Cyclonus to be BFFs/Moirails, but I hope this becomes a thing. PLEASE BE A THING. That twist with Dominus would make Andrew Hussie proud. HE WAS FIDO THE PSEUDOSPARKEATER THE WHOLE TIME. Also, one of those DJD guys died because of how attached to Dominus they were... Hmmmmmmmmmmm. I WONDER WHAT THAT WAS ABOUT HUH? *cough cough* lima syndrome *cough* Rewind and Tailgate punching things made my heart sing... Whirl asked all our questions for us, that was really nice of him.
