And also I'm in Slipstream/Windblade hell and they're not even from the same continuity and I'm in so deep and there's no escape and I'm dooooomed. And Ratchet is gr8 here, and I adore the SHIT out of Slipstream, and Shockwave is great and everything having to do with Strika and Lugnut is great, and any scene with Strika is a scene I'm guaranteed to love, and Optimus, precious BABY, let me hold you, and everything about this story is just so GRIPPING! (except alpha trion, he continues to skeeve me out in literally every continuity I've ever seen him in)

Yeah, it really is. Which is sort of why I appreciate things like all the shit the DJD does, Overlord's pursuit of Megatron, and Censere's planet-- Megs is charming and dadly and pretty sympathetic, but he's still responsible for some fucked up horrible shit. So having those reminders is kinda nice.

I wanted to know if Megs using every violent abuser tactic in the book on his chosen punching bag was deliberate or accidental, or even just a detailed analysis of what was going on between them. Well, we appreciate the warning, Optimus, but we've got Professor Sumdac and some very clever ideas and we're not ungrateful for you repelling the initial force but in the long-term we'll be fine. And like, my impression of Professor Sumdac from what I've seen of canon, I'm still in season 1, is that he is very smart and is in no way a hack but he's not very good with people and made some bad mistakes in how he treated certain people that, while unintentional, still bite him in the ass.
I know! I think it's been mentioned before, but my god Tarn looks so much like Megatron from the spotlight, complete with oversized decepticon symbol. It was like he had to defeat the visage of himself at his worst in order to move on.
