>learn how to draw robots >implying I did anything but trace concept art and photoshop Whirl's legs onto an insecticon for @Thunderwing's color reference sheet
@Loq #That'sEfficient! But yeah for real I gotta figure out what Updraft actually looks like now. Shit is *hard*
Ivy's guide to drawing transformer designs: > draw action lines > stack cubes along action lines > maybe a triangly bit??? Somewhere??? or get real fancy with a cylinder > legy > shit shit shit forgot about kibble UHHHHH BETTER ADD THAT IN SOMEWHERE???? > give face details because hmmmmmm love those face details > remember to slap badge on somewhere if applicable! > ????? > profit
FAIR! Tho I wouldn't... say I can draw particularly well, I'm just... messing around with pencils xP *forcibly shoves imposter syndrom bullshit back under the bed*
When I want to draw robots and robots are The Worst, I cheat and do TFA art :P And I want to figure out how to imitate that style in general, because it makes life so much easier Also if you look back at the eighties comics..... a lot of those professional artists definitely did not know how to draw robots. It makes me feel better about my joint-drawing skills especially :')
Well at least you're trying, so that's what really matters. And don't worry, I even tried to mimic the TFA style
Joints are an illusion that only people who make deals with lesser demons of art can draw when the sacrifice a virgin every full moon, so xP
the worst bit is actually foreshortening. you'd think that it would be easy since they're all rectangular and blocky but no
I actually greatly desire to draw human Starscream again, because i found a wonderfully Starscream jacket recently. (also Starscream in a corset waistcoat because I wanna)
@TheOwlet Poke me when you wanna throw your carrier oc in the spr and I'll get Archive in there! Although he might be more interested in Index, Archive's cassette and also wife. She's played by @KingStarscream .
Spoiler: Archive and Index images By KingStarscream The tol The smol All together now! Archive is primarily white with secondary teal coloring and gold accents. Index is primarily teal with secondary white coloring and gold accents. They both have red makeup as trained cityspeakers.
Archive is very shy and has gotten more reclusive bc backstory stuff, so Index does most of the talking for both of them but is also trying to push Archive into more social situations (with Archive's consent). They're historians and archivists and since Caminus is basically falling apart they had to do a kind of Adventure Archeologist type thing and go into rotting, unstable structures to retrieve abandoned items that were considered unimportant at the time while the buildings were being stripped for re-usable material. Usually datapads or other data storage stuff. Archive's got a lot of internal memory so she stores a lot of it just in her own brain and body, but they also keep copies on other datapads. Index is good at helping Archive find stuff, bc Archive has the info but there's so much of it finding things can be hard! ...their names fit so well bc they've absolutely renamed themselves, btw.
Big bots and tiny bots is the best mix I need to develop my ocs, so far I only have personalities. iiiiii'm not that great with character development...
Well things like occupations, relationships, backstory, etc. None of my characters have that, except for one, but he's not tf related.
