I am a Kitey Bastard no matter the game, so I love me some zippy bots :P Bee, Arcee, Sideswipe, Windblade... Ironhide is also Too Slow for me, I've been using Mixmaster for the acid heavy and I'm gonna see how Waspinator plays to see who I actually want on my missioning team. Motormaster and Ratchet get passes for being my biggest bot and a healer respectively, so I don't have to worry so much about them taking hits. I ended up shoving Arcee onto my team, but I'm keeping bludgeon and bonecrusher around for arenas :P my 1star bone is already on base defense, he's just... not STRONG enough to deal with the sharkticon chapter even with his bleed.
/flops down on a table/ So...anybody interested in some extremely speculative Rung backstory fic? Because wow, the way he just Spoiler: LL6 completely forgot a key bodily function like that...intrigues me. And by 'intrigues,' I mean that I spewed several very long walls of text at Spock as I furiously tried to piece together a timeline of events from the TF Wiki, and found it wanting, so I made up my own GRATUITOUS AMOUNTS OF HEADCANON to fill in the gaps
Ahhhh, I'm going to be stuck in a closed area all day, but as soon as I'm free, I'm so stoked to be hurt too!
I was watching the latest episode of RID 2015 and I saw a rare and adorable thing Spoiler lookit those big ol anime optics she's a magical girl
"Gee, the spec ops guy sure seems bored and frustrated," remarked everyone, somehow failing to predict that everything would soon be on fire. Spoiler: The Transformers (2009) #29 Prowl finally solves the mystery of the extent of Spike's crimes. He discovers they're extensive. So extensive they extend all the way to Swindle. Ultra Magnus arrests Swindle for arms dealing again. I wonder if he'll make it stick this time. Jazz sneaks off with Kyle the Wireshark watcher, who's just so glad to get away from Prowl's stupid packets he forgets to ask if he'll be getting a ride home. Not with Jazz he won't. Jazz is too busy burning shit. Starting with Spike, via a quick call to the military. Then the military, via a quick call to the press. While simultaneously burning the agreement between the bots and the U.S. military because he's a fucking multitasker of metaphorical arson. Then he takes the arson to a literal level, with an entire decommissioned compound, just to make extra sure anything dangerous is gone. It... probably is after that. I mean you can never be totally sure, but nobody will be able to say there weren't precautions. It sure did end in fire, Prowl-narration. That's because Jazz set it on fire. I'm so proud of him.
F2F update!! 8D new loading screen (drift! And... New orange bayverse-lookin bot? I think it's Bayverse Roddy?) Graphics improvements! Daily login bonuses! New spotlight missions for both the new boys!! Also can I say how excellent it is that we're getting Drift and Roddy together even if neither of them is an IDW version? ETA: also either I'm getting very lucky or they've fixed some of the horrendous lag issues!!
Spoiler Where are they, that a being as large as a Titan can be kneeling on what appears to be a paneled floor?
Spoiler: TAAO And when he takes over, Windblade's makeup changes to match, which I completely missed before. Caminus and Vigilem were either brothers or in deep love/hate while Caminus and Metroplex were amicae, sorry, I don't make the rules -
Triple post combo: time for Windblade interfacing with Caminus, Metroplex, Navitas, and Vigilem shenanigans! With a bonus Starscream, who has no idea what he's getting into, and gratuitous TAAO spoilers
Guys! Guys! Guess who finally finished Phase 1? It was me!!!!!!!! Also I finished Death of Optimus Prime. So, on to MTMTE and RiD! (If anyone else doing a read through needs any help locating specific bits of Phase 1, I can probably help. I think I read almost everything. ETA: Like the only thing on this list prior to MTMTE I don't think I've read, other than spotlights that are set later on in the series than I've reached, is Continuum.)
Also I just recently realized that one of the ongoing issues heavily involving Wheelie was named after C.S. Lewis' scifi novel Out of the Silent Planet. I'm amused. Spoiler: spoilers for the novel The main character is a human who ends up stranded on Mars. He never wanted to go to Mars in the first place, but sometimes these things happen. (This is fantasy-scifi Mars, not NASA-scifi Mars. It's sparse but habitable.) Also on Mars iirc are two other humans who are basically hostile to both the natives and the main character, and only interested in other planets in terms of conquering them for the slash-and-burn style expansion of the human race. Ruin one planet, move to the next. During his adventure, the main character befriends the natives and uses his expertise in linguistics to learn to communicate with them. Mars is dying. It's very old and is reaching the end of its natural lifespan. But it's not the titular planet. That would be Earth, which was corrupted by evil a long time ago and fell silent, turning in on itself to wage war. The main character is an anomaly, an unexpected point of contact that came out of the silent planet, with corruption and death following close on his heels. When the main character eventually makes it back to Earth, he naturally wants to warn everyone about the things he's learned. But he's worried that people will think he's gone crazy and write him off because anything he says is bound to sound like a heap of nonsense. Any of this sound just slightly familiar? :3
Hi so I'm finally back to reading mtmte and I'm on issue 30 (skipped dark cybertron because. just. i can't.) and i usually don't liveblog too much but I just have to say: Whirl has terrible taste in movies. A bout de souffle is boring and sexist (like all new wave french film, tbh). Who would want to watch that more than once.
