Brainstorm and Getaway were both MTOs, right? And I think Brainstorm mentions that they were down to only 7 of the 10 essentials when he was made (and if Getaway's story to Tailgate is right, he didn't even have that much) so it's pretty impressive that Brainstorm did get as far as he did but also... my babies......... There are so much upsetting implications about education and the war efforts. I mean, before the war there were obviously colleges and college planets but how many people were actually able to access that with the Senate and Functionists doing their thing?
Man, every single time I decide I want to try more asofterworld/transformers mashups, viewcomic goes down for their donation drive. And by that, I mean it's happened literally the last three months running. I guess I'm going to see what I can do with mtmte 1-21, 28-33, since I have those saved manually, but I'm so ticked that I can't get at the newer stuff or exRiD properly :T
sympathy like D: meanwhile i still struggle with just getting these two idiots to deal with the fact taht Rodimus failed all attempts at subtle about his obvious attraction to megatron
Even just hanging around in Swerve's bar should have given Brainstorm a vague idea of how much a shanix is worth. He might just be super oblivious. He might also have no idea about resource management or logistics due to being stuck in a military-funded lab all the time.
The real reason me and @meowtini on the rocks / noct co-write almost everything. Everything is secretly us prose rp'ing in a way.
That reminds me I still need to do the heart breaking Megatron/Rodimus image collage thingy using this: http://shaydh.tumblr.com/post/142364729421/i-am-made-of-bullets-shrapnel-you-are-solar
Oh no, I've got momentum now Spoiler: images So I definitely saved like.... the entire a softer world archive for exactly this purpose, then did nothing with it. And now I've been through canon enough times that I am OVERFLOWING with ideas, aaaaaaaaaaaa. I'm a little bitter that I can't get at Spotlight: Kup right now, because there is a comic that's too perfect to pass up, but I can wait. Also I want at 45-46 for the scavengers, but that's less urgent, I can live without those. For now. Patience is a thing I am familiar with. In theory.
#fanficauthorproblems I can't get them to do the do tonight the muses aren't cooperating. They've started arguing again. JUST FUCKING KISS ALREADY ahhhh
Spoiler: 51 Yeah, I'm exactly that kind of unsympathetic asshole who, as I was reading that issue, was like "fuk tha cocoon people, get your mechanical asses through that door before I sprain something from unparalleled levels of frustration"
Spoiler: 51 I think I never even considered it as a real possibility, because no way were they going to get out of there so easily, so I wasn't frustrated. I was just mostly like 'oh hey a vehicle for dramatic tension' about it. My inner 'time for a dramatic battle' counter was ticking, too - pacing-wise, I thought it was a good choice. The fact that the back door was there at all was just kind of a vehicle for Megatron character development imho. (Not to say that that decision was... short-sighted at best in-story, I'm just incapable of believing in easy ways out in fiction because 95% of the time they'll get thrown out one way or another.)
Spoiler: 51 No yeah, I agree it would have been too easy, and was mostly there partially as a character development opportunity and for pacing reasons - stuff like this just offends my pragmatic sensibilities and I start chanting along with this video. I'm also wondering if things will go so entirely to shit that the few remaining survivors will wind up resorting to the door as the only means of escape left to them, but that's a different conversation
Spoiler: 51 Haha, I feel. Those are some good thinky thoughts about decimated survivors, though - I would be really upset but it would be a really interesting storytelling decision. I was actually thinking that since the Necrobot (cannot remember his actual name for the life of me) has to use the door to return as well as to arrive, if something could come through it, whether to help or hinder everyone inside. I have no idea how the thing works, though, so just wild conjecture on my part.
