I was watching a Russian language video with an owl. But! I noticed that youtube had an autotranslate option, and I could select English! Oh boy, let's watch the owl video!

I love autotranslation captions

and autocaptions where anyone has a heavy/thick accent

 

For the previous video it offered me autogenerated Spanish subtitles as an alternative to Russian. That turned out to mean that it would treat Russian as if it were Spanish and then transcribe all the Spanish it heard. That was also great, but rather less accessible to me, as I can't understand Spanish. At least Spanish to English autotranslation tends to be pretty good, though given material of this caliber, I'd suspect there may be a bit more room for interpretation than is truly ideal.

The other day my sister was at a party, sitting inside the house with a couple of friends.
