Looking for a particular post on my Tumblr and found this again, which when I first saw it made me laugh so hard I snorted phlegm onto my computer.

    I. ?????? Chimpanzees have spears. They make sharpened sticks and skewer bush babies with them. They have specific rocks they use as hammers and anvils, and the type of rocks they use for hammers and anvils varies by troop, implying both teaching of what is and isn't a good hammer rock or anvil rock to children, and enough distinct culture by troop to come to different conclusions. How is someone so badly versed on what we know of neanderthal lives and culture that they are depicting them as more basal than chimpanzees.

pretty sure we have evidence of fire back before homo sapiens even emerges, as well, so they should probably have decent fire tech.

Genuinely we do see several neanderthal specimens that survived loss of limb for years; social cooperation is one of the earliest 'human traits' to evolve into the homo branch, so hilariously 'you could have survived the loss of your legs' is one of the more plausible parts of the whole post, despite the leg injuries manifesting from a neck wound

I like how they don't have fire, but do have steel. In 10,000 BC.

Yeah I think the simulation theory is the only plausible explanation.

What's confusing me is how the DM thinks having broad shoulders makes it harder to throw things.
