I can't tell if it would be funnier to remove the punctuation around "completing your"

Because the journalistic style 'oh, we're not calling it a financial appointment, that's just what some people say' would be hilarious, but, the bizarre effect of how they're actually using them as if they were asterisks for emphasis is funny too

 

Having the "completing your" is what sends it for me. It's already funny but then that just takes it to completely silly
