Nah man, then the signs would be in Martian, and Martian is super distinctive. You really can't mistake it for any other language.
Okay this is a road in a forest somewhere if I'd have to guess vegetation looks similar enough to my climate zone so probably either middle european or US somewhere. Let's try going uh... North. Let's try North. Aaaaaalright that's a roadsign that looks similar to how mine look and seems to use the metric system. Europe it is. Yep I am definitly in Germany. Good Grief. Still going vaguely the same direction I found a town that is a bit bigger than a village thing but I have no idea where I am. ... Or maybe I am in Austria or Switzerland? The license plates have the wrong color :/ I think I'm going to try and go to Echternach. It seems to be a bit bigger. the roadsign says 34 km SCRATCH THAT Okay the roadsign on the other side says Aeroport and Trier. I'm near Rheinland-Pfalz. That's why everythign looks weird. Lol and I know how to find the fuckin airport. Suck taht airport game I am possibly not in Germany. Is this Luxembourg? Whatever I found an Airport. Unstealthing reveals it is the Luxembourg Aeroport (I can't be arsed to do the accents sorry) This was surprisingly easy
01:30: Press the start button. It's a grey day here. Lots of green grass. We're on a single-lane paved road in a temperate climate. Countryside. There are small houses around and a few farm buildings. We're either in a village or just the cluster of houses that surrounds many farms. No signs are visible. Two tractors are at one of the farms; they don't look like familiar ones, so I don't think this is the US or Western Europe. There's a Peogeot 505 parked by the tractors, but those were sold pretty much worldwide so that tells us little. I'm going to guess Eastern Europe somewhere. Let's see how hilariously wrong I have managed to be.
02:15 Still nothing helpful. No text on anything. Nothing that I recognize as being specifically of a region.
02:20 A sign! It reads 'Baleliai' with a red strike through the word. Clearly something is prohibited. I know not what it means, but it's latin characters, thus Europe most likely. The sign is not of a pattern I'm familiar with.
02:26 A two-lane road! Still farmland and groups of houses. A village cross, and a direction sign. The words have accents, and they do not appear to match the patterns of English, French, German, Italian.
Ooh, are we liveblogging our wanderings now? I'm in. Landed in a wealthy-looking suburb. Looks temperate, heavy on the conifers. Could honestly be my hometown. Nope, sign says "Drakeåsveien". Northern Europe somewhere, then.
Also, seriously, fucking everyone here has a boat on a trailer in their back yard. Wonder if I'm near the ocean.
There's a building with a heart with C+ spray-painted inside it. A half-erased or half-finished stereotypical lovers graffiti? A statement of single-ness? A grade of some sort on the building? e. the building itself seems to be labeled "Valhall." what relevance this has to the graffiti, if any is also a
02:38 There is no way off this island. There are only three routes out from the center. All end up at points where there's no option to go further. I concede. Now to turn off stealth. Ah, I was in central Lithuania, headed in the direction of Vilnius.
I've found some white-roundel-in-red signs that I'm guessing are speed limits, and am trying to get onto the fastest roads in the hopes that they will take me to civilization. I've found a 50 km/h one so far. It's got some promising-looking signposts for possible cities, too.
Got seriously turned around by some roundabouts, but am now on a 60km/h road, heading for a road called E18.
Airport sign spotted! At Torp, wherever that is. I wonder if this line I'm in is a border crossing. It certainly has the look of one.
Turned around when the speed limit dropped to 50. Who put all these motherfucking roundabouts right off the highway, is what I want to know.
@Wiwaxia nah probably either maut or some ferry deal or something else. All borders within europe are kind of just casually open. Pretty sure that's also true for scandinavia.
Second attempt. The time is 12:25 This, again is a sort or rural looking area. Vegetation looks more unfamiliar. Gonna go north again, picking a general direction sounds good.
