Guys, sorry it took me so long to reply to your messages, but basically: shipping for the thing to the U.S., I realized, would probably cost more than 20 dollars, which is the price of a brand new deck with the box (which fell apart on mine) and the LWB which I apparently misplaced and can't find D:

I was thinking, instead, if anyone would like to maybe exchange decks: we each pay the shipping for the deck we mail out, and we both get well-loved stuff, and it seems like a more fun deal that allows us to cycle out unused decks, and also fairer on the receiver of mine, IDK?

 

If anyone wants my lightly used Radiant Rider-Waite, I'd be happy to swap. I wasn't in a very good place when I used it and we didn't get on very well.

Hey so i think im getting into tarot and so far all i know is the cards look cool and doing the three draw thing feels right for some reason (idk if thats weird) and i have some questions.

I dont have a deck yet but i found a nice online one, how do y'all feel about online decks, are they okay?

Second question, i asked if my art career would go anywhere or if i should back off and leave it a hobby and i got the wheel of fortune, the world, and strength. Im intruigued from the descriptions im reading but dont really know what to make of it? What do yall think?

 

I personally view online tarot decks the same as pretty much all other divination tools. They're just one more possible medium with which to speak to gods or ungods with. So they're ok in my book. I'm kind of an outlier here in terms of how I think it actually works though.

Also...I don't really know your situation but my reading of those three cards and your question is basically this...This decision? It's a turning point. Definitely. You could already probably guess that though. I mean that's what you're asking about. But if you're patient and stubborn enough things will roll into your favor in some fashion. That'll be hard though I'm guessing because well Strength, but having to endure is also not entirely bad. So stick with it even if it seems like your house is on fire and everything is pointless is what I'm getting?

 

This is probably weird of me but i told the deck thanks and asked if it was happy online and got four of cups, two of pentacles, and six of swords and what im getting from these descriptions is "well, i wasnt at first, but i got used to doing this and now im just happy helping others" and, thats so cute??? Help

Online decks work fine, IMO.

Building off Aon's interp a little - Wheel to me is not just a turning point, it's fate kind of going WHEEEEEEE and spinning you around like a roulette. It's a severe shift in fortune, but you don't know to what (unlike, say, the Tower, which is a serious shift to the negative). Which I feel is very appropriate for art careers given how hard it can be to get anywhere. The World is completion, satisfaction, and ... clearing the board for the next step, if that makes sense? So the two combined is probably "fate goes WHEEEEE and points you in the direction of satisfaction." Pretty much agreed with the Strength interp, though.

 

Sorry for spamming the thread but i asked the deck if chester ( the stray cat that hangs around our house) will be okay eventually and got death for his future and now im really upset

 

Death isn't usually... death death, it's dramatic change and transformation. For a stray, that's really looking up.

Yeah death is more 'the ending of one metaphorical life and beginning another' than 'the ending of an actual literal life.' It showed up for me when my mom (who has addiction issues not helped by the really small community) got flown out to live with her parents- she lost all her contacts and toxic friends who kept dragging her back into the hole and it kickstarted her recovery. Kinda an extreme example, but Death always makes me feel pretty hopeful. (Of course, dramatic change can be bad too, but in my life stagnation is an ongoing problem [being unable to break out of cycles and such especially] so I always look forward to things changing)

Of course my deck at the time rarely ever whipped out Death so it has a bit more gravitas for me.

I'm really hoping it means kitty gets adopted- that would definitely mean the end of one life (as a stray) and rebirth (as a well-loved housecat).

 

So um. I got a book that I've been looking at for a while. I'm honestly not sure what it's gonna be like but it should be interesting at least (and it's not by silver ravenwolf, so there's that too).

also: I got a pin that says boss witch on it that I'm gonna stick on my bag bc its a pun and I love puns even tho I also love giving my friends shit for making them.

 

If im getting too annoying in here feel free to tell me to knock it off. Im just having a lot of fun is all.

Me: ...how should i take this. I think its saying to draw?
Me: hey deck what should i draw?
Deck: shows me a bunch of stuff that amounts to " dont rely on others for everything, especially creative endeavors"
Me, not taking the hint: wait, are you saying dont draw?
Deck: shows a bunch of obtuse stuff about how im making a decision
Me: ...wait. are you saying i should decide myself?
Deck: yes, you egg.

Online deck has given me similar answers for other simple stuff as well, it feels like its patient but doesnt put up with nonsense, heh.

 

@Deresto i can only speak for myself, but I def like hearing about your stuff. Hearing about how everyone does different things or people getting excited about witchy stuff makes me happy.

 

Deck is hinting i should reconnect with a friend i was super close with and drifted from years ago because i just do that to people cause im an avoidant dingaling and because of said avoidance problems i really dont want to even though deck is saying it'd make me happy and feel better -_-

deck also suggested im blowing things out of proportion and need to get over myself wrt the whole avoiding thing. This deck is very good i love it.
