Oh, wow! I admit I don't know a lot about tarot, but maybe fandom decks would help me remember :)

With regards to the animism, I cry over accidentally stepping on bugs, can't bear to give away my plush toys at the age of twenty-seven, and Sausage Party is effectively my nightmares put to CGI. If I develop the actual philosophy around it and included positive thoughts in it as well as worry, I'll probably be a lot better off. I'm trying to remember to give thanks for food and generally appreciate the world more.

 

I CANNOT RECALL A FUCKING POEM FROM MY DREAMS. I had another dream about the poem, potentially. And it was clearer but still things aren't clear enough. I wrote what I could based off that new dream. I am dissatisfed with most of it. RUGH.

 

Oh boy, that's happened to me a couple of times! The poetry I got was quite probably complete nonsense, but it seemed so beautiful in the dream, and when I woke up I couldn't remember a single word. So annoying!

 

More so because I know it means something. MEANS something. Important.

Time for a kind of silly story.

I got a tarot reading from a friend so she could practice before an event and asked the cards if I should try therapy again because I had a run of bad therapists a while ago and didn't want to do it again if it was going to do more harm than good. The cards told me that I was wandering the wasteland right now (unfortunately true) and that therapy would help me find focus.

I just talked to a school counselor and she sent me to a group in the area that specializes in my issues.

The group's name? Focus.

Trying to figure out a spirituality for your fantasy AU is hard when you are generally the Least Spiritual Witch.

 

What would best serve the story?

 

That's not the problem, the problem is trying to portray it. Like. Trying to write about being in a big city if you've never actually been to one. I can write mechanics about it all day but it's very hard for me to grasp the fundamental experience of it.

 

Severed heads are cool. They contain souls and talk and sometimes give frightening prophecies. But most importantly they are a severed head that you have taken to stick above your door or something.

A CONTINUATION
I talked to this ghost almost every time I showered for about a month. I was going into a pretty deep depressive spiral at the time and was feeling isolated and shitty. The ghost was great to bounce ideas off of and to talk about how shitty my brain was. It was nice to have a presence that listened. We reached a point of almost friendship after a month. It knew some of my inner thoughts and I knew it existed.
There were a couple of incidents. I forgot to knock once and forced the door open. It then slammed the door on my fingers on my way out. I turned around and told it I would exorcise its ass if it ever got violent again. I also recognized that I had violated its boundaries so I forgave it.
Also, once I was getting the toilet paper down from the top shelf above the toilet and it rolled off the edge and nearly fell into the toilet but the ghost saved it and made it just bounce off the rim. I was very grateful.
I left spirit tea out for it once and it seemed to enjoy it.
The ghost left after about 2 months and I got the feeling it was only in my bathroom as a stop on the way to somewhere else.

And that's the story of how I had a ghost in my bathroom for a summer.

 

I saw that violet incense was used for protection and I burned some while wishing for good results in the election because that would protect all of you, and now I feel like I fucked up and made it worse than it would have been :( I'm also blaming this guy for tempting fate, which is mean of me.

 

Welp, turns out worshipping Nemesis is about as useful as praying to gravity while falling to your death. Gonna have to find a new patron deity. Or for one to find me, I guess.

 

Maybe She's got different plans which will work out better. Could be planning the mother of all beatdowns on your enemies. Let's make sure.

 

The continued existence of Donald Trump is really making me doubt that, but IDK, wait and see, I guess.

 

I admit I'm no expert but I don't think any god's going to help you will people to die, and I don't think his death would help anything because he'd just become a martyr. Wishing for his public shaming and arrest seems like a better goal to me.
