I spent all winter of Y4 re-thinking my farm and moving things around, and then I did it again in winter of Y5, and I think I'm just about happy with where it is now.
Yeah I'm only in Y2 and just had my first kid with Elliot ^^ her name's Calliope because writer dad and I will never stop being Homestuck Trash XD
My farm never gets to any final plan because I keep making new characters for trying out slightly different playstyles with... >_> I'm really tempted to completely redo my first farm, though. I'm practically drowning in cash to do it with and nothing else to spend it on, so... btw @Ruevian I ADORE the recolors you made for me! @Kittenly I found a modding guide here, and there are mods on that site and Nexus mods. Some of them require a thing called SMAPI I guess, lots of others require replacing actual game files - for those, made sure to copy the original files somewhere safe so you can restore them if need be. (Sorry I didn't get to your question sooner - my brain was fried the last couple of days.)
This is just me taking a moment to vent about a dumb game thing that occurred, because this was a mission-type I have never seen before and got pretty salty about it to be honest. Spoiler: Me Whining About Jodi Fuck you Jodi, you gave me 11 hours to get you a Largemouth Bass and made me waste an entire day! Not even an entire day, and I tried to get you that stupid fish, but all I pulled up was Pikes, broken CDs, enough algae to kill a man and a can of Joja Cola which I'm giving to you as an insult next time we meet. You could have asked for anything else. Any of the possible crops, sure, got that shit in storage in the fridge and boxes all over the place. Flowers, sure, I've got all of the forageable-types as well as poppies out the ears. You want some diamonds? I can get you a diamond and an additional one for your older son who I'm trying to date! But no! You want a Largemouth Bass! Bad luck day out the wazoo, no Lucky Dish to offset it, and you ask for one specific fish! I'm never getting you anything again but Joja Cola.

Highly recommend doing Prairie King on a high luck day + using luck food. Once you get used to it it's fairly... well, not simple, but you tend to flail around less in my exp. Save sheriff badges for the witch! I'm trying to get the no death achievement, am managing to get to the 3rd last level before dying. Shit's tough, yo. Also damn, congrats! Finishing artifacts is some hardcore dedication, that achievement is HARD AS BALLS.
Those must be the two hidden achievements! Good, because there's no way I have the twitch reflexes for either. x_x
One of the hidden achievements is "beat Prairie King with no deaths", the other is "have 10 million cumulative earnings", I believe.
I know there are mods for this game, but is there a mod to turn your farm into a polyamorous commune? (Look, I'm weak, and all these love interests keep being cute at me.)
I'm watching three different Stardew Valley LetsPlays, and in each of them Leah is the favored love interest. What is it about Leah.
If they're anything like me and Seb, it's cause you can woo her with items you find easily and also she's in a convenient location. Like, cause you gotta guess with people what they like it can be a right pain in the ass to make them like you. Linus was easy cause he's sad and roams near the mines and likes wild flowers and junk, so he's my friend. Seb lived near the mines and likes quartz, which I picked up all the damn time, so. And his family got a lotta hearts for me just cause I was showing up every day and talking to them. So, I imagine if I were more of a farmer/gatherer I mighta gone for Leah. Cause convenience.
stiiiiill haven't gotten around to buying the game, but i'm watching youtube videos of this one guy's livestreams of it and, uh, does Abigail eat quartz? Was her reaction of (paraphrased) "Thanks, I was so hungry!" a bug? I mean, it's really funny and kind of adorable to think of her as this weird video game nerd who also literally just... eats rocks... He just keeps giving her amethyst like "welp i guess i'm gonna marry her??" anyway, game looks super cool, I'm gonna buy it if my job hunt turns out well~!
we're. um. i don't think anyone's quite sure. i feel like it's probably a bug but maybe ... not ... ? she doesn't say it with amethyst though because it's one of her favourite gifts, so she has different text.
