I am not surprised that some people are dicks about fishing mods, the amount of "NO YOU MUST NEVER PLAY ON EASY" I've seen just about difficulty settings that games come with. I mean, I'm damn well gonna be proud of myself for being good at a thing that's hard, but it's recreation. If it's not fun for people, they get to make it fucking fun.
Tempted to replace every hat I can't think of a good replacement for with a different color of beanie, tbh.

That looks so good! Is it an accessory? Hat news: Rather than gather stuff together, I have made player hat versions of Lewis's flat cap and Haley's flower crown. :') I've also redrawn the santa hat and am thinking about liberating the wizard's hat for player use, too. I'll still put up a completed hats.xnb file for anyone who wants to just drop it in and go, but I'll also offer a png sprite sheet and grayscale versions of the hats I made so picky people who are mod inclined (like me, haha) can make their own versions as they please.
It's a combination accessory and an edited top! I tried to make the scarf tail on the accessories page and it ended up hovering over my head instead. .__. also my witch is VERY PLEASED BY THAT HAT. Looks sharp, dude!
My antivirus had a hissy fit and decided Stardew Valley was a Trojan, blocked the .exe file and deleted all my saves. I'm off to throw myself dramatically onto the couch and have a crying jag. What did I ever do to you, computer? (Well apart from calling your network group Megaera, maybe that was asking for trouble.)
Oh no! D: It looks like a lot of people are having this problem (there was a bug fix today). Are you running it through Steam? There might be a cloud save backup, if you have that enabled.
I'm doing a full system restore to an 03/10 backup right now since it seems to have jiggery-pokeried some of my other files too, but I'll have a look at Cloud backup once that's done, hopefully I don't lose too much progress!
Ok! So after restoring my registry I found my actual save files, but the game isn't seeing them for some strange reason, and I can't create a new save as I'm getting an exception error. on a plus note I now have three backup copies of my save files on various media. Just in case. ETA - fixed it by poking at kaspersky's applications control.
