the reason why 64 bit is such a big deal is that a 32 bit program has to use only the first 4 gigabytes of RAM on the system, and share it with everything else using those specific 4 gigabytes - and some mods are very large, so people were hitting the limit on game save with as few as 200 mods. but a 64 bit game can access all the RAM on the system! so you can have a thousand mods including the enourmous ones, if your system's powerful enough!

Gonna do a weird lil roleplay. I've been hired by the mayor to clean up the nasty old farm plot, but I find out when I arrive that he's pretty much only "paying" me by letting me sleep in the cabin and selling off the wood and stone I clear out. Cause Lewis is trash, i will die on this hill. I can also make money by selling wild produce. I can't fish until I get my fishing license by joining joja for 5k. I can't farm until i pay for the greenhouse upgrade and upgrade the house once to have a kitchen. Buying the land+ home, and the person who owns the land has a clause that you can't buy it unless you fix up the old homestead i guess. Depending on how impatient I get i might drop that to just the farmhouse upgrade. I can't mine until the minecarts are fixed, I'll pretend the money is a training/safety class. It is sort of silly in these games that you can just fish and do whatever right off the bat. Also this helps with backstory. Not all of my characters just have a convenient inheritance. Also i can't imagine waiting to open a letter for years. If one of my loved ones dies when i was a teen or however old, and then years later after spending my youth at a terrible job barely eking by, to find out I HAD A HOUSE LEFT TO ME? Fuck you, grandpa. Well, it took until halfway through spring to get the 5k "fishing license" and then during spring I mainly fished in the mountain lake. Purchased both fishing pole upgrades, and both backpack upgrades. It is now (edit, posted this late at night XD) SUMMER day four, my house is upgraded and last night the greenhouse was fixed. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Made good money from that lake. I also got roughly 2 dozen items for the museum by digging up worms and treasure chests. I feel pretty accomplished. I'll be farming in the green house until I get the ability to make scare crows.
News of upcoming 1.6 update has rekindled my interest! Getting back into reorganizing the farm in my first save, want to be ready for all the New Stuff. I am slowly grinding my way towards 10 million in my second save, since all I need for Perfection is the Golden Clock. My Mass Effect themed save has just unlocked Ginger Island.
I'm going to start a new save, partly because that's what I always do and partly to try the new farm map. might try and do some multiplayer...
so i started a new file for the new update, once i finished classes. and. boi i'm having fun so far. my file is lucky as fuck so far: I've got an auto-petter. I've got the garbage hat. I've gotten the living hat. I've only fainted once in a dungeon and that was skull caverns in my second year. I married Harvey for the first time ever and I was startled by how sweet and gentle he is, definitely was undersold in the posts I've seen about him. Maybe it's because I'm older. also being married to harvey makes the "i had to perform emergency surgery on you" line when you faint in skull caverns so much more angsty. married less than a solid month and your wife turns up on deaths door because someone happened to find them and he has to do emergency surgery alone in the clinic to keep them alive. least I wasn't pregnant yet lmfao.
