i am feeling very vindicated by this buzzfeed quizz because i am the spendthrift with a shopping thing in the household and my Very Taurus Ass husband got 100% high maintenance and I only got 33%

 

we got a bucket of karaage for dinner tonight and i made okonomiyaki and my mom traded some chicken pieces for cauliflower tempura so dinner was very good. i'm eating churros cereal straight from the box for dessert like a small child tho

husband found an anime about a radio dj that is actually really funny. i love the protagonist, she's a legit trash fire garbage human being and i LOVE her

100000% more adult and realistic and relatable than sing yesterday to me, which was recommended as an adult anime about adult relatable issues

 

i have my semiology semi-final tomorrow and im suuuper nervous. i hope i can manage to get a good grade. have no idea about making up for that bad grade because while i did manage to contact a professor they never talked about it again
we will not get our final grades for most of the classes this semester tho because we can't actually finish the classes without practical hours, and talk is we won't be able to get ANY practice at all until december, even for the classes we'll have next semester, which is just like, WHEN WE GET OUT OF BASIC CYCLE HELL AND ACTUALLY START CLINICS

Marlon's grandma fell, broke her hip and passed away on thr 7th, and today my grandma fell and broke her hip. My 65 year old, asthmatic mom is driving 1000km to go see her in a covid red zone. I couldnt go with her because I have like all the finals this week. I am BEYOND worried

 

LAST FINAL OF THE WEEK!!!!

 

I have to record a video for tonight and write a bit for monday but i am feeling like it's vacay already as much as we will have a vacation and as much as i can when everything is going kind of to shit BUT

we will have next week full of only physiology classes because our professor is like 10 classes behind schedule, and the final will be on the 29th. so i will have a whooole week more or less free! i will be able to both study and do other things!

 

this winter break instead of mindlessly droning on social media i will
a) learn how to make sims 4 cc
b) sew a nice quilt for our couch
c) do yoga

 

My brother Strider (mom's dog) is staying with us and while Katniss cannot even be fucked to care about his presence... Garrus and Cassie are So Spicy about doggo. our house has been divided and it is a hissing fest every time he gets anywhere past the hallway to the bedrooms/bathrooms or gets too close to them when they're in the living room (like, about 1m). I expected this from Cassie because really, she gets spicy when we get the wrong flavor of cat food, but Garrus is such a brainless dork and so generally friendly with people that I expected differently from him. Both of them were socialized with dogs when they were little, so I hoped it would go smoother... but then again Nina is the kind of dog that picked them up in her mouth and kinda threw them three feet away when they were somewhere she wanted to be, so I have no idea what was my reasoning there.

It has gotten a bit better, because before they couldn't even see each other without a lot of hissing and growling, and luck is that Strider is an absolute flan who is Aprehensive of every animal both bigger and smaller and doesn't react aggressively, but we had some accidental close encounters in the office with a lot of hissing and growling and flailing on the part of the cats and a lot of whining and backing in the part of the dog and everyone was kind of jumpscared by each other and i got pretty worried, but no one has gotten scratched or bitten yet. Sometimes the cats catch him in the hallway and circle him and I have to pick up the dog and walk the three steps to the living room because he's being bullied and sits and starts crying, but that's pretty rare. They mostly keep their distance.

I'm worried that some day he'll feel a bit too threatened and start getting snappy, but i'm keeping my eye on them. Tonight was the first night he spent here, normally I take him to mom's apartment when we go to bed, but we took an afternoon nap without incidents and I stayed up until four working on an essay, and when I finally went to bed the melon was already getting up. I'm trying to balance alone time for the cats with people time for the dog, because he eats very little when he's completely alone but other than that handles it well despite being a very peopley dog.

I just!!! wish!! they would get along better!! the cats can't play with their toys when strider's here because he wants in too and then everyone gets spooked and has a Bad Time, and I feel bad for them because Garrus loves running around with his crinkly plastic ball so much ):

 

Just had another incident, thankfully no one is hurt but the cats got sent to time out for a minute. choke points really are a problem ))): I don't know what to do

 

Had a shit day that included a scratch on doggie and a nail broken at the quick for Garrus. Theyre both fine now, but when i tried to leave Strider back at moms apartment he barked like crazy gor almost half an hour, so i brought him back... and now i cant sleep, because im afraid something worse will happen if theyre let unsupervised. I really just wanna cry

 

Husband says im overreacting and making it worse than it was but I cannot even leave him here in the living room and go to bed. I have class tomorrow and it's 1:30am and I cannot sleep because of my fucking pets. My grandma is in the ICU and my mom is in a covid red zone and I just cannot fucking deal with this
