Grandma put me down for the wrong appointment. I had to go out TWICE today, and the second one was to the wrong place aaaaaaaaaa

 

STUDENTS COMPLAINING ABOUT THEIR FINAL EXAM GRADE. YES, YOU ABSOLUTELY COULD HAVE GOTTEN 50% ON THE TEST. I SAW YOUR WORK THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE SEMESTER, THIS GRADE IS IN NO WAY A SURPRISE.

I am very irritable right now, sorry. I don't feel good and I was hoping I wouldn't have to meet with any students about their exams but already I have to make the commute into school because Student X is convinced they couldn't possibly get that grade.

 

Having a ten minute conversation with my mom- this is fine.

Having a twenty minute conversation with my mom- okay, this is fine too.

Having a forty minute conersation with my mom- shut up.

 

Customer.

It's not my job to know whether or not you got credit for the course by getting a particular grade! I don't know your major, I don't know your future plans, I don't know the university's policies! Talk to your advisor! That's what they're there for!

 

So, over the past few weeks, my desktop has been working less and less, and basically... stopped working entirely. As it happened, I was in the market for an upgrade at the time, so that's on the way, slowly.
... buuut I took it apart to salvage my hard drive, and...



I think I found the source of the problem.

Persistent wifi issues

Boss didn't contact me about the changed start time at work, so bring 2 minutes late for the usual time made me 32 minutes late. So then I'm like, okay, I'm responsible for being the 2 minutes, but is anyone holding the other 30 against me? Is my brain fucking with me by telling me to prepare a guilty conscience as if I am? Should I be grumpy at boss, myself, the doctor who wasted my day off yesterday, or what? Ughhhh.

 

it's getting to where any time I get a large commission, I should pretty much expect to wind up being my client's therapist

and I can't speak up about it! cause I literally can't afford to lose the commission! why do people do this!!!

 

My phone broke :( This afternoon it allowed itself to be turned on when it was plugged into the wall, but it appears not to do that any longer either.

I bought a replacement phone tonight but the stupid sim card is too large >.<

 

Some assholes pulled the fire alarm at 3 AM. Half an hour later, we discovered that the apartment complex had turned off the automatic monitoring system for the fire alarm, so it took someone actually calling the fire department for them to show up. Somebody ended up duct-taping the alarm pull handle in place just to shut the damn thing off. So much for getting any sleep, and I will be going by to yell at them this afternoon.

 

@LadyNighteyes Is that even legal? wtf. (turning off the monitoring, that is, not taping it in place)

 

I have acquired a new phone, but or is not museum als phone. This is highly annoying.

ETA: as you can see, I have not yet gotten used to the keyboard and the autocorrect.
