Used work laptop hooked up to TV to watch DVD with family. Container of buffalo wing sauce got knocked over onto the keyboard.
I've been taking dance lessons for twelve weeks and I haven't lost any weight >:( Still, I have noticed I'm slightly more coordinated and better able to keep up than I was when I started. Something, right?
My sister plays these batman games recently where when batman wants to blow up a wall he takes this explosive foaming gel stuff (stupid) and takes the time to draw a bat symbol on the wall with it every time. This shit blows up in about three seconds of application and the worlds greatest detective is taking time to get artsy??? I dont think so! It bothers me so much i almost cant watch her play and thats one of the very few times i even get to hang with her
Though it is kind of funny he has it down to one fluid motion. He's practiced. Imagine Brucey in his lab practicing making exploding bat symbols for hours until he's got it perfect.
the library is switching over to a new ebook system which is very "we have an app!!", but because I don't have anything that works with the app, apparently I have to do a 10 step process to get these ebooks on my kindle. probably 12 steps because of computer issues if it works at all >:O
I had to update my wacom drivers. They popped up a screen what says the license is: Like - peoples, you just cut out about 50% of the world - how can you say worldwide in the same sentence? Edit: 60% - Russia is freaking huge and is considered Europe. Edit2: I has been informed that South America balances out the exclusion of Russia, sos is only excluding about 45%.
I figured it was something like that - it just annoys me when the license makes it look like "those other peoples aren't allowed to use this!" That was why it is in the annoying thread :) Edit: I is not as pedantic as @seebs, but is working on it.
Have to phone to call out. Need to call out bc my throat hurts too much to talk (thanks, continuous purging from stomach bug yesterday). Do you see my problm
Making mistakes makes me Bad. I know it's normal. I know everyone makes mistakes. I know people better than me make mistakes. It's... really hard to not think I'm Bad though.
More relevant to the thread- today, mom and I went to goodwill and bought a cabinet to paint. This goodwill, same as most of them, has one lane for cars both picking up AND dropping off items, they don't have separate lanes. So we drive to the pickup area, get in the lane. There are two cars ahead of us, the people are hauling stuff out of their trunk to donate. And then some asshole drives around, backs up in front of the person unloading their donations, and makes the employees bring the furniture he bought. He fucking cut in front of us and both cars in front of us, and got away with it because only one of the two employees helping load/unload had a problem with it. Mom and I were both pissed.
"Okay I only have a 4-hour shift today and it's normally a slow day, I can do this and ease back into work after this illness--" >Manager calls at 7 am "hey can you come in ASAP and do this more-physically-taxing job until your scheduled start time and just switch departments for your scheduled shift?" (Making this a 10-hour workday)
