the only downside of eating homemade bread is that it still feels like there's flour on my hands even after washing them like twice, and it's making me worry if I'm spreading it around things...go away already ghost flour
Maybe I'm late to the game, but Tumblr's extremely annoying login with a link thing. Ugh, no I don't want to do that, I just want to use my password, thank you. </old lady rant>
Ah yes, the "log in with a link." Because when I go to tumblr, I want to go to my email and then come back.
One of my friends just got snippy with me for doing an anger management technique wrong. Fuck off, buddy.
Less annoying and more on the border of really pissing me off— Getting blamed for the entire argument between Person A and Person B, like I’m completely in control of whatever two other people making their own decisions. And then snapping at me “thanks for that” when it doesn’t go the way Person A wanted it to. Nope. Just. Nope.
WHO DOES THAT OMG if someone's doing an anger management technique you leave them alone and let them do it.
Hey company, I literally paid extra to make my visa process go fast because your initial start date for me was this monday, don't ask me to postpone my start date to june 18th right now. I, like. I get it, it's a production, production delays happen. But I am moving across the ocean for this job and already have housing ready for me and have already spent literally half my money on this move, DON'T DELAY MY MOVE PLEASE. edit: they called and said it was totally up to me and a few other people already said they can delay so my start date's the 4th! :D yayyy solving things
>hey, let's get this desktop app to help float files from my desktop to my mobile >official app >"This app may read, change, or delete files from your computer" :|| Why is this necessary. No. I refuse. Time to do things the long and/or illegal way out of SPITE.
It's probably a "read/write access to the file system" permission, which I assume it does need. It's probably not actually going to delete anything.
Apparently I still get just as cranky and frustrated as I did as a kid when there's too much noise and distraction for me to fully immerse myself in reading.
The cardigan I knitted myself for summer-wear is about two sizes too big. And it's cotton, so there's no hope of getting it to shrink that much. So now I gotta unravel a whole cardigan and reknit it to a smaller size.
> Me: Yeah, [x series] is pretty great, and I’m glad it makes you really happy! > Person: What’s wrong with it? > Me: [insert balanced criticism of x series, while highlighting the excellent things about it] > Person: HOW DARE YOU IT’S A PERFECT WORK OF ART, GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN!!! Uuuuuuuggghhh. Everyone’s favorite series is problematic in one way or another, and someone people will like it, others won’t. Just enjoy your fave with its flaws and all, and stop being a douche canoe about it when someone points out they may not like the thing for one reason or another. The harder you scream YOU HAVE TO LOVE IT OR YOU ARE DEAD TO ME, the more likely I am to walk away and drop you like it’s hot.
One of my friends either has an amazing job, or her employer is going to harvest her organs. She works at a casino. She makes $12 an hour, plus tips, and out-earns me by a few hundred dollars (I make $15 an hour). She gets a paid lunch plus two paid breaks during her shift, they have a free buffet for all employees. They offer two seasonal bonuses (summer and winter) that start at $250. They’re having a company barbecue at Local Water Park and every employee gets four free tickets for admission. Meanwhile, corporate at my job doesn’t even pay for employee birthday parties anymore, if the manager decides to get us a card and a birthday cake/cupcakes they have to pay for it out of pocket. My last Christmas bonus was $20 in store credit.
Casino, so - odds are actually on 'probably legit an amazing job'? Afaik, they generally want their employees to be able to do the performative "we're Really Thrilled you're here and spending money" work and keep people from cheating the casino, and it's easier to do that if you're not focused on being hungry or tired or in need of a restroom. It feels very weird and kind of wrong that a casino is more sensible about how it treats its employees than anywhere else is, though, I agree.
I spent 50 dollars on a tabletop RPG, which was sealed in plastic wrap, that didn't have the class, class-specific ability, and character creation rules in it. There's a ten-page section about the classes and the names of some of their abilities, but they aren't actually in the damn book. They're free to download from the company website but that's still really annoying.
Everything else, basically. Setting details, the basic rules for using generic abilities, what all the game terms mean, character advancement, how to GM...
