I got blocked on dA for nicely pointing out to a writer that maybe you shouldn't misgender people based on whether or not you like them. Fucker.
YouTube took down almost all the English dubs of Simsala Grimm and I can't find them anywhere else :(
My brain deciding that the sounds of someone eating are physically painful. Stop being weird about noises you useless sponge.
My wife has that. If the room is quiet I have to find somewhere away from her to eat, especially if it's crunchy. For me when I'm tired the sounds of voices, particularly words or high pitched, and especially if there's background noise, is physically painful.
It's really frustrating because it isn't even consistently a thing. So I at times don't know why I'm suddenly upset. And it takes a bit of running through my checklist to figure out that the brain has decided that eating sounds are now PAINFUL and CANNOT BE SORTED OUT.
Facebook's new layout being one of those 'fuck non-mobile users' deals. I am tired of this trend in general. I don't use my fucking phone for this shit most of the time.
I want to write/get back into RP, but my brain doesn't wanna cooperate with me. It's really annoying.
Trying to play persona 5 royal and can't get past this one boss, it's so frustrating because it definitely wasn't this hard in the original game.
I know that feeling. Pour one out for everyone suffering from that dreadful condition known as "hate being dirty, hate the process of getting clean".
Look, no one is obliged to like Neil Gaiman, but if you claim all his female characters are stereotypes and cite Lady Door as a "damsel in distress", I know you weren't paying attention.
When I'm at work, I want to sleep or write fic. When I'm at home, I want to read fic or play videogames all night. When will I be the fic writer I want to see in the world?
Spoiler: it is late and I am tetchy and this is overly harsh. someone responded to my friend's fb post asking for ideas on how to work toward reclaiming and/or rewilding the one million golf courses that take up over half of our city's greenspace with 'nationalise the land!', and when they said 'yes! how?' he responded with 'Good question.' and then an apparently earnest answer that first we'll need a socialist workers' govt, so we need to start establishing a revolutionary movement & party. dude!! this is a post about reclaiming or establishing common land by hook or by crook, you do not need to convert people here, a good example of 'organising around shared demands' as you suggest would be literally the thing that is happening in the comments around you - with concrete ideas of who to reach out to and how to start, unlike yr comment where the issue at hand seems like a total afterthought. He meant well, we're on the same sides of the issue and probably most of the ones I think are important, I don't know the guy, maybe I'm missing something he was trying to say, I am guilty of worse high-handedness. Argh, though.
This feels very petty and shallow compared to everything else that's going on in the world right now, but everything else going on is something I can take action about, at least in some small way. Donate. March. Make masks and wash hands. Boycott or support. Speak out. Small things, but things. Right now my most frustrating problem is that I'm writing fanfiction for what is apparently a fandom of four people, and I'm the only one writing for it right now. I have two fics for it, the only two fics on ao3, both of which are averaging about 4 views per chapter. I loved the book and am having more fun writing fic for it than I have writing for any fandom in a long, long time, but I'm writing for a nearly nonexistent audience.
