UNNECESSARILY SEXY COSPLAY.

I mean, to each their own, I'm not the cosplay police, but I am forever annoyed by sexiness as a crutch for good design. It happens in drawings and it happens in cosplay and I just want to see more effort than tits, okay!!

God, at least the ripped guys with Diglett and Magikarp masks are funny. (I was looking at ideas for Pokemon cosplay.)

Less annoying, more pitying, but will someone please teach the tiny nerd children how to take selfies?

 

it's. Too. Hot. And humid. I feel gross and disgusting but there's no point showering yet bc A: dyeing my hair later, needs to be as it is and B: I wouldn't dry out for a week anyway.

I forgot to wear sunscreen yesterday and torched my shoulders. :(

 

Trying to explain to my boss that the reason she didn't see what she wanted was that she's looking at the wrong sheet of the spreadsheet I sent. (I forgot that Google Sheets doesn't save the active sheet if you send it to someone the way Excel does.) I have no idea if she's even going to see my messages to that effect, considering it's 11:40 at night.

I conked out ridiculously early last night and missed taking my antidepressants. This somehow results in a bone-deep ache in one arm that lasts almost all day and doesn't respond to painkillers.

Stupid antideps.

 

I need to go mow the lawn but it's the middle of the afternoon and I hate doing things at weird times (cant delay it anymore tho cause rain's coming) and there's 20-something worker dudes setting up a fence next door and i don't feel like being ogled today >.<

 

Weighted/pressure blankets are really expensive.

 

Headache. Ibuprofen hasnt kicked in yet. Have to call a place and get an ambulance bill sorted out. Like I can pay it but Ive never had to deal with it before so I dk how its done. Bleargh

 

Spoiler: bodily function

Naturally, the one time I want my period to hold off is the one time it's early :T at least I got to swim yesterday, but. Still have today and tomorrow on the beach vacation.

Also because of this I've been up since 430. {Yay.}

 

The TV set up not working which means no Wii U which means no Splatoon which means nothing to do unless I can somehow fix this. I'll be without Splatoon for 8 days... 8 days is too long @_@

Christopher Hart is getting on my tits again! I should stop morbid-fascination-slash-irritation-following his Facebook account (we go Way Back, I was the attempted voice of reason when he was being an ass about Unsolicited Critique of his artwork circa 2013 or whenever and have been calmly disagreeing with him on many things for a long time. sometimes he listens, sometimes he does not.) because he keeps posting Savvy Art Business Advice that boils down to 'abandon creative integrity! i know you have a vision but you gotta do whatever the publishers want you to do!' and it gets under my skin for whatever reason.

Like yo. I respect that he made a very savvy choice to make a Bad How To Draw Book Empire by perpetually playing safe and tapping into niches, it was clever. But telling everyone they 'should' do the same because 'publishers won't want you' if you want to choose your own illustrator for your children's book is ughhhhhhhh. stop that. (i mean. i'm assuming that's not strictly true. i know nothing about publishing. but surely a quality book with quality illustrations WOULD be picked up by someone eventually, right? right??)

 

Why the fuck do I have to come in in person to renew a prescription that I've been taking the same way for the past year and why wouldn't the psych have mentioned this back when we agreed that I didn't need any more followups?

 

Bf is playing Helldiver with some friends and they're talking over Mumble. And they're all getting terribly overexcited and loud, which means I currently have him sat right next to me periodically yelling in to his mic. I've tried putting white noise on over my headphones but the volume I'd need to listen to it at to drown out external noise is just too much. Considering giving up and going to our bedroom instead.

 

I paid $4 for a knitting pattern, and then looked at the color and formatting and it looked

so I looked at my libary of patterns on my phone and I had downloaded it for free when the author had briefly made it freely available

that is what I shall do! she has these really very cute little owls made of cables and I'm excited to put them on stuff.
