Stomach flu. :| Spoiler: GROSS It's better than it was yesterday since I'm not projectile vomiting into a trash can at a rural gas station (OR ON THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY, THAT WAS FUN), but still, this sucks. I hope my boss isn't upset that I'm sick, but since I'm actively infectious and she's pregnant, she's probably glad. On the other hand, I don't have to go to work tomorrow, so it's not all bad. A part of me would rather be sick than stuck with my shitass coworker.
@Aondeug - Antis, if you don't mind me asking? if so, please, feel free to consume the pain, I can't eat the whole thing, there's plenty for everyone
Some dude walked too close to me and tried to yell something at me on my way to work. It's entirely possible that whatever he was saying was not creepy, but I do not regret not taking my earbuds out to find out.
Spoiler: minorly gross medical tmi It's like 6pm at night and instead of getting ready for rccc in two days, I'm sitting in my hmo's urgent care because I'm paranoid that I have another bladder infection. Ugh.... I hope I don't one, because that means I've got a yeast infection instead, and I can take care if that in 3 days instead of five. Ughhhh, God I hate having lady parts problems during a convention! It makes me so distracted and impatient
Spoiler Cooking for the family means overcooking things and putting meat in perfectly good veggie dishes and I hate it
Spoiler Pathfinder Campaign 1 is over! We saved the world, did the politics, hit lv20, all that good stuff! Time to roll new characters for Campaign 2! ...time for mother to get aggressively moralistic about certain class choices and specializations, setting off both my and the DM's anxiety and making two of the three other players uncomfortable. And she's the one who introduced DM to the playgroup (and also I have to live with her :P) so we can't just chase her off. [Grumbling]
Something very annoying which I've seen in a lot of the biology courses I TA: there seems to always be a justification for learning the material in terms of "How useful it'll be when you're a medical doctor!" or "How important it is to understand this for medical doctors!" rather than "This is an important biological concept that you have to learn if you're going to get a biology/biochemistry/etc. degree". Fumes.
Usually tumblr's reccommended post feature actually gets me. Like yeah, there's that one person who keeps drawing the art of a ship I like in a way I hate, but that's on me for tracking a dead tag. But like... this thing, where people do "[list of transformers characters] comforting their human s/o after they binge drink and have a hangover" or whatever that keeps showing up? I could really do without that, thanks tumblr. I don't know why this particular post format bothers me so much, but it does. And the fact that it's frequently wildly out of character doesn't help.
I should probably eat more than a mozzarella wheel for lunch but everything else accessible is coming up Not Food :T braaaain whyyyyy edit: I have identified the Want. The Want is pudding pie. We have no piecrusts and shopping is not in the stars spoons today OTL
"characters showing human s/o their favorite comfort item" "characters gently encouraging a human s/o to eat during a bipolar downswing" "characters helping human s/o clean the kitchen after a college kegger their roommate threw without permission" It's...... something.
Being sick but not sick then sick again but not sick enough to slow life down and sort of being sick but not sick ... Also doctor appointment Monday. Ugh. Why Monday?
Three fucking weeks in a row I try to come to the local nerd shop to do some tabletop role-playing. Week two, the DM was out but people were making characters for a completely different system. Weeks one and three, fucking no one was here. Why am I bothering. I should appreciate the role-playing I can get, and do more here and on Roll20 and wherever. Shouldn't be so ungrateful for things people provide for free. :|
... when you're super excited to have an evening just to spend with your 15 month old nephew, then your sister says "I don't want you to take him away from mom's house because he's not been feeling well", and the thought of spending time with your nephew AND your mom makes you cringe because your mom has an obsession with showing said nephew everything that makes noise (like, seriously, does the kid really need to learn how to bang the brass mortar and pestle together?)
