    Hell yeah sca! I do amtgard and occasionally dag, which really isnt the same thing, but is a lot of fun if youre just in it to hang out with people and beat each other with sticks, and arent really into the whole historical accuracy thing. Also, magic is fun!

    My doctor has me doing a paleo diet. I'm only a few days in, and it's supposed to get better, but so far it's hard. Even less energy and lower mood than usual. Missed work yesterday because of it. Doing a bit better today though.

    I have my dance class, I need to start practicing more on other days of the week.

    I started burlesque class and hope to do pole dancing at some point, really need to start remembering to practice during the week :T

    I wanna pole dance but I'm not strong or coordinated enough to actually lift my own weight :(

  8. I have a convention in just over a month. How much weight can I safely lose by then, and how do I do it?

    My spouse and I just started a six week fitness bootcamp at a place called "Peak Physique". Participants are supposed to lose 20 pounds over that six weeks IF they do the workouts five times a week AND follow the nutrition guidelines. For me I'm not being strict on the diet, but gaining strength and endurance is far more important to me than losing weight.

    Today was day two. Yesterday I was close to passing out midway through the workout. Today was better, already feeling stronger and more energetic.

    best way is to just keep track of your calories and eat less than you burn every day - the recommended amt of calories for the average adult to consume per day is 2000, and what ive seen recommended is drop to 1500 per day to lose as healthily as possible
    aerobic activity is good too
    good luck, be safe, and dont do anything too crazy without asking a doctor first :flyingkickcat:

    Made it through a whole week of workouts! Monday - Friday at 6:10 every morning, when I was used to getting up around 10 or so. Feeling so much better already!

    Always hated early mornings myself, performed better with an evening workout.

    Willpower, and the support of spouse, and not wanting to let spouse down. Doing it with a partner really helps. I think we'd both have wimped out if going solo. I think that's why they do guilds on Habitica.

    1. Cut out 99% of the sugar from your diet. (No diet soda either, those chems are bad, mkay? (a little stevia or honey every now and then is ok))
    2. Cut out most of the carbs, and what carbs you do have should be whole grain and veggies. At dinner don't have carbs but have a little fat.
    3. A grueling 1 hour workout every weekday morning. I almost passed out during the first one and I still feel like I'm gonna die by the end.
    I recommend going to a professional for the workout, you really don't want to injure yourself by doing an exercise wrong.

    Didn't make it to the workout this morning. Family complications kept me from getting to bed on time and 5:30 came way too early. Going to have to make it up on Saturday.

    I was hoping shoveling snow yesterday morning would be good exercise but the snow was so light it didn’t seem like much. But I’m a bit sore today so party!

    I’ve been doing well with the treadmill workouts. Just finished today’s. My overall goal for that is at least three days a week. Most of the time I have no problem exceeding that, but I don’t want a goal that’s unmanageable when I’m not feeling great. I’m good for this week even if I spend the next few days in a funk.
